good job he waited to be ill then

EllieG · 13/04/2008 21:35

I am going to organise some sort of protest if my baby doesn't come soon. Not sure what will consist of. Might be a bed-in as that sounds quite easy.

lulumama · 14/04/2008 07:33

vacaloca · 14/04/2008 10:18

Have I missed anything?! Where's VS?

scorpio1 · 14/04/2008 10:29

i have clary sage oil burning in the burner thing, is that right?

Piccalilli2 · 14/04/2008 10:36

You can also put the clary sage in the bath or mix it with a carrier oil and massage your bump but frankly have tried all three and nothing so I think it's a big con. 41 weeks today. Where are all these blinking babies, what are they DOING in there?

MerlinsBeard · 14/04/2008 11:01

I keep losing track, people drift onto the thread and give birth the same day so they have no staying power. NOt like VS and Scorpio

VS keeps wanderig off to make windchimes

Sqounk is honourary doula facon maker
Lulu and Mars are the real doulas

I was on the original thread but had my LO and never left

EllieG i know from PG after MC thread so i am making her extra comfy

and erm...

VictorianSqualor · 14/04/2008 11:03

My last day here ladies.
Am desperately not trying to think about tomorrow or the fact that everyone on our ante-natal thread seems to be going into labour when it's my flipping turn!
I think I may have a bruise on my bump, the very top of my bump, where babies bum is absolutely kills and I keep gettign sharp shooting pains there, even when it's not shooting pains it feels sore
My body just ain't stretching no more!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 11:05

sounds horrible, VS. I know it's not much consolation, but at least you know that there is an end in sight, and this time tomorrow (do you know what time, btw?) you will have your little one...

VictorianSqualor · 14/04/2008 11:10

I have to be at the hospital at 7:45 and then will go down whe there is a theatre ready
I'll be texting Peachy once it's born so she'll post time/weight/sex/name when she gets the chance.

scorpio1 · 14/04/2008 11:11

Well, good luck with it all tomorrow i think you are having a girl.

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 11:11

when I had my elcs, they told us we were booked in for 9am. As it happened, there was a bit of an emergency with someone else, so he was actually born at 10.04.

Will await peachy's post tomorrow. We'll be thinking of you and eating bacon butties in your honour (hell, I may even bake a cake!)

vacaloca · 14/04/2008 11:25

VS, I'll be thinking of you. I live just round the corner from the JR so if you need anything at all... Let me know if you want me to send you my mobile number.

Try not to worry about it too much VS, and remember although they ask you to turn up first thing in the morning, you may have hours to wait till a theatre becomes available.

I went in for an elective cs at 8am (think they give this time to everyone) and we waited till 7.30pm! They then tried to send us home but labour had started naturally while we were waiting, so we finally got our elective later that evening.

VictorianSqualor · 14/04/2008 13:21

I had an ELCS last time as well, DS was born at 9:31 so wasn't much waiting around that time, would love to go into labour waiting for a theatre!

ruty · 14/04/2008 13:35

you never know VS! Good luck with it all.
