VeraSquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 07:33

right, crumpet anyone?

VictorianSqualor · 10/04/2008 07:47

I ache
Have been in the bath since about 6:30 (WHY?Kids are still asleep) my bum aches, and my legs, I feel like I've ran a marathon.

QuintessentialShadows · 10/04/2008 08:00

OH VS. That is exciting, I had the most excrutiating pain in my bottom, when I told my midwife she said it was my pelvis opening really fast, baby was born within 10 minutes of my bottom starting to hurt.

Fingers crossed it will happen now! Good Luck!

VictorianSqualor · 10/04/2008 08:03

TEN MINUTES
I can't do it in ten minutes!

VeraSquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 08:05

ten minutes... hmm... given a choice I'd go for ten minutes

VictorianSqualor · 10/04/2008 08:06

Better decide which DC is going to deliver it then, DD(7) or DS(3)?
Cos there is no way anyone else would get here in time

VeraSquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 08:08

I'd go with dd

VictorianSqualor · 10/04/2008 08:09

Not sure DS can reach the towels...

lulumama · 10/04/2008 08:50

all you need are some warm ,clean dry towels for baby, and that is it !! achey bottom and legs sounds promising, any shapr pains in your foofoo?

lulumama · 10/04/2008 08:51

BTW, if you think baby is coming very quikc you call 999

QuintessentialShadows · 10/04/2008 09:05

VS? You still there?

VeraSquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 09:05
lulumama · 10/04/2008 09:06

VVVVVVVVVSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

maybe she has just gone for a cup of tea?

QuintessentialShadows · 10/04/2008 09:07

Yes, I hope so, but under the circumstances, I doubt my gut reaction would be to go and make a cuppa....

VeraSquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 09:09

She said earlier on that the kids were still asleep - they've probably woken up and she's doing mum-type stuff...

lulumama · 10/04/2008 09:09

do you think???

QuintessentialShadows · 10/04/2008 09:10

My youngest was born within 40 minutes of arriving to the hospital, there were not even time for the pethidine, I only had 10 minutes of bottom ache. I yelled for Pethidine, and MW told me to lay down on my side bottom to her, so she could give me the shot, there was no time.

But Lulumama you know about these things, and I guess all births are different, so she should have time yet. Right?

QuintessentialShadows · 10/04/2008 09:12

Oh this is so exciting, I have to go and buy play doh. Will check on the thread when I get back from town.

GOOD LUCK VS!!!!

lulumama · 10/04/2008 09:12

theoretically, especially as this is her first vaginal birth, but birth is surprising !
every birth is different, on the whole, they follow a pattern of sorts, but some women have very different experiences.. so many variables..

scorpio1 · 10/04/2008 09:13
