If your first 2 babies were born at 41+ weeks, when did your 3rd arrive?

Just musing about when I can expect baby number 3 to turn up... of course it's very much a case of "whenever it happens", however I'm clinging to a little hope that I won't follow my usual pattern, as this pregnancy has been harder than the previous two and therefore I really don't want to go overdue!

Baby 1 - 41+4
Baby 2 - 41+5
Baby 3 - ?!

My midwife thinks I'll follow the same pattern and go overdue again, but she did say that, purely anecdotally/in her experience, being a different sex sometimes seems to be a factor (my two previous babies were boys, this baby is a girl)...

If you experienced two overdue babies, when was your third born?

Bumping for the wide awake crowd (posting at 3 am due to pregnancy insomnia seems to have some drawbacks...)!

Interestingly, I've stumbled across some studies that suggest having a male baby increases the chances of going overdue, so perhaps there's actually some substance to the "anecdata" provided by my midwife?!

It depends whose dates you believe - according to the medical records my 3rd arrived at 40 + 18. According to my dates it was 40 + 10.
The previous 2 were 40 + 10/11. All the same sex.
None were induced.

Mine were 40+11, 40+9, 40+7

2 girls then a boy. Each weighed quite a lot more than the previous one

This is the attitude I've come round to, AKA my gestational period is just naturally a little longer than most and 41+ weeks is normal for me. I ended up being booked in for a reluctant induction due to being overdue with my first, however he arrived the night before I was due to go in! I held my nerve with my second and declined induction and plan on doing the same with this one if it comes to it...

My first was 5days early and I thought it will be the same with my second but instead
2nd was 42weeks ( induced)
3rd was 41+ (spontaneous labour)
4th was 41 weeks (spontaneous labour)

The wait certainly is hard! I'm not officially waiting yet (close to 35 weeks), just musing/hoping that there's a possibility this baby will come earlier (while trying to be realistic that it's unlikely)!

I have a mild prolapse due to the birth of my second child and symptoms have been exacerbated by this pregnancy, hence hoping that it'll end earlier... I'd be very happy to give birth at 38 weeks onwards, shame you can't just press an "eject" button!

I have no experience with it... did you also have it with your first?

I think I'd be using the BRAIN acronym to assess the decision and (if opting for induction) would want to find out my Bishop Score, which gives an indication of how successful an induction might be.
