Second births- when did baby number 2 arrive in relation to first pregnancy?

Writing this at 39+5. Had a scare at 33/34 weeks she was coming early and had the steroid injections but she's still cooking 🙄 DS was induced at 42 weeks (10 years ago) and I'm really hoping for a spontaneous labour this time but so far have no signs 😑

How did your second labour compare to #1 weeks/days wise?

Baby 1 came at 40+4
Baby 2 came at 40 exactly

I expect my Labour to be fast and quick as my first was about 6hrs- but the baby’s head blocked my waters so after hours of nothing happening after the initial contractions they had to break my waters/ then things speeded up as expected.

Dc1 - laboured at 40+3, delivered 40+4
Dc2 - random on off labour for weeks. Delivered at 39+4

1st baby was born at 39+1
2nd baby was born at 38 weeks

Mine were both 39+1!

Had DD at 38 weeks, DS arrived this morning at 38+2! Labour with DD was 20 hours from first contraction to her arriving with 4 hours of pushing (back to back), DS was 3 hours from first contraction and he was out in 2 pushes!

Dc1 at 36+1
Dc2 at 38+4
Dc1 was contractions to birth in under an hour
Dc2 was under two hours.

12 months apart and very different labours

All 3 had to be induced at 40+ 4 - at which point I went from healthy blood pressure to pregnancy induced hypertension like a light being turned on at the switch.

DC2 39 - I had thought he would be late as well and had so many little jobs planned, that I've still not done 3 months later!

DC1- 37+5 spontaneous labour
DC2- 41+2 induction

Watching with interest. DD (first baby) turned up at 40+4 with labour starting at 40+1. Because of her birth I've been recommended for a CS with DS this time around, and have been told to expect an appointment for around 39+1.

The only thing is, I'm convinced their calculations on my due date are wrong (I know my dates exactly including ovulation, theirs are based entirely on him being a bit small at the 12 week scan, which has since evened out and he was on the normal to large size at 20 weeks). So 39+1 by their maths is 40 weeks exactly according to mine, and I'm quite nervous about going into spontaneous labour when I have a CS planned...

First baby arrived 12 days after the expected date and 2nd 15 days. I don’t think either was late really as my cycle has always been a long one. 3rd and 4 babies were both 11 days late too - the only one that I was helped along with was baby number 4. I went in convinced that baby was well on the way but wasn’t. The lovely midwife took pity on me and ‘accidentally’ broke my waters as she was examining me. Whilst not particularly quick all 4 were straightforward normal deliveries.

Both were 3 days late.

DC1 - 40+2
DC2 - 39+6

First baby 31 weeks
Second baby 39 weeks

First was early due to complications though

37+3 (induced due to placenta issues)

All born on a Thursday too!

Labours went from 94 mins, 42 mins to 12 mins with my third… Safe to say no more!

DC1 was 40+2 and DC2 39+4. Was so sick of pregnancy with DC2 by then and worried I might go overtime as had no signs of labor by 39+3. Had planned to book natural induction with zone therapist as soon as I’d hit 40 weeks

DS1 - 37+5
DS2 - 32+5

Both born in under three hours

DC1 40+1

Both inductions

Currently 38+4 with #3 - praying she follows her brothers and is a bit early 🤞

22 days earlier gestation than my previous full term pregnancy

I was quite surprised

Mine were almost identical, with ds2 being quicker.

Dc1: 37+0 (00:36 arrival after waters went at 22:00 and contractions started an hour later)
Dc2: 37-0 (23:55 arrival after waters went around 23:35 & contractions started 5 mins later).

DC1 40 + 5
DC2 40 + 8 very very quickly!

35+1 then 39.

DS1 40+1 7 hour labour
DS2 41+1 1.2 hour labour

DP calls me a baby cannon 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
