How long after childbirth was it before you had sex?

How long/soon after childbirth did you have sex?

4 weeks for first, a bit longer (maybe 6 weeks) for second? Both after CS. First time was fine but I healed slower after the second CS and it was painful.

19 months on and still haven't. Left my ex when son was tiny. I think the fact it's been so prolonged has given me a terrible fear of having sex.

About 8 weeks I think. I had a second degree tear and it felt a bit weird for a few months. I wasn’t properly up for it again until after I stopped breastfeeding.

8 weeks. C section, breast feeding, tired.... probably would have done it sooner but couldn’t find a time we weren’t nackered 🤷🏻‍♀️

11 months. Third degree tear, follow up fistula surgery at 4 months pp, and breastfeeding completely killed my sex drive - I felt no desire for sex until my periods returned.

On the plus side, it felt completely normal when we did do it, and I wished I’d bitten the bullet so to speak and done it a couple of months earlier.

3 or 4 weeks with both dc

DC1 - 9 weeks but it was awful so we stopped. Tried again a few times but again awful. Was 18months before we could actually do it properly. VB, episiotomy, forceps.

DC2 - 2 weeks, no issues. C section.

dc1 - months, I bled for about 12 weeks and then was still sore for weeks. (wasn't in Uk, I think if I had been I woudl have gone back to GP)
dc 2- physically could have done after about a month, but she was a rubbish sleeper, so probably 8 weeks.
dc-3 3 weeks. Easy delivery, quick bounce back.

10 weeks ish. But took until about 7 months to feel normal and no 'catching' on scar tissue- 2nd degree tear and some stitches.

Honestly? 14 months in and we've tried twice but what with pain and lack of sleep, no success! It's a long time and I need to get checked out but the waiting list for gyno app is loooong. We are planning to rectify this soon! Husband not pushy thank god, v understanding.x
