Jab at home after elected c section?

After my emergency c section I got an infection so was in hospital for a week then when I got home I had to have a jab in my stomach daily for a week. I think it was to avoid blood clotting. I'm calling it a jab because it wasn't a needle that I had to find a specific vein to inject into.

I may have an elective c section for second pregnancy and obviously this is not a deal breaker but just wondered if having a jab daily is something that I'll have to have again. Or was it to do with the infection rather than c section itself?

Thanks

I had them for a few days after my third emcs. Ds3 was in scbu and on about the fifth day I realised I’d missed it and asked and they told me that I was mobilising down the stairs to my baby they didn’t think I needed it. But this was 10 years ago and it’s doubtless changed.

I have a history of dvt so have to have them throughout pregnancy and afterwards... hate them but got used to them!
