Cant explain.. not sure whats going on really, just feel like things are starting. (or do you think I could be hoping to much!!)

My fanjo feels like it is about to explode, my lower back is going on and off in spasms, and quite strong irregular tightenings. I know this vcould go on ofr a few days yet.. but body wise I feel different!! does this make sense.
I have put my babysitter on alert just incase we need her in the middle of the night.

(probably will still be here past due date.. on SUnday then will feel embarressed.. )

No show or anything yet.. just uncomfortable and enough to pain in back and tummy to make me wince.....

Update.........

For the last 1hr and a bit contractions every 5-7 mins lasting between 35-45seconds. Not too uncomfortable at the moment enough to make me think ohh that hurts when they hit the climax..

Hoping these wont stop..

they start with period pain.. then pain goes to my fanjo then works up!! Cant remember that with DS...

Goodluck misspitstop

well i wonder if 2+1 is ahead of me...

i'm up as am too uncomfortable to sleep. have no idea if this is it (despite having done it before!)

am getting v crampy and have had lots of hard bump action

was disturbing dh but couldn't get happy in the spare room so have given up and come downstairs. just devoured mahoosive bowl of cereal

will try to make notes of when the cramps come

2:42 was the last time...

lulalullabye · 18/07/2007 03:34

hello 2+1, are you still around ?

I have been having contractions on and off since thurs too but going away at night. Tonight was woken by a pain and having them every 10 mins, but not sure if it is trapped wind or not.

I am 41+2, so as you can imagine, uncomfortable.

I hope yours are still with you.

lulalullabye · 18/07/2007 03:35

sorry tutter, see brain has gone as well !!!!!

Tutter · 18/07/2007 03:45

yup still here

had gone to lie on the sofas to see if i could get to sleep but no chance

think it's fair to call them contractions - have been making notes and they have been at 9-15 minutes intervals for the last hour or so

want to wait as long as possible before waking anyone to come and be with ds1 - Ils due to travel from 2 hours away

this your first?

lulalullabye · 18/07/2007 03:54

No, second, have dd 15mths. Feel same as you about waking people as parents 1 hr away and having had pains since thurs, not all too convinced that they are real !

But then I suppose i will realise at some point. Are yours really painful or like you say just at the peak ? Mine are very similar.

I really hope they are the real deal as getting bloody fed up now.

Tutter · 18/07/2007 03:57

am having to breathe through them

i can see why i thought they were diarrhoea cramps last time - am resisting the urge to dash to the loo each time now

really don't want to have to wake everyone up at this time of night, but everythin happened reallyt quickly with ds1, plus i have to give myself time to get IV antiobiotics through before baby is born (am group b strep +ive)

lulalullabye · 18/07/2007 04:02

I think it might be time. I have independant midwife and she told me that when I have to breathe through my contractions, thats the time to call her. Also the aspect of baby sitters etc, it might be wise to start the ball rolling.

I am just uncomfortable at the mo and they are not getting any stronger so am jealous !!

Good luck if you decide to go tutter.

lulalullabye · 18/07/2007 04:16

Tutter, off back to bed to see if I can get some sleep. Good luck and will check back later.

Tutter · 18/07/2007 04:23

thanks

am going to wake dh up and get tens machine organised

have been 8 mins part for last few

wish me luck, and hope everything gets going again for you x

lulumama · 18/07/2007 07:13

ooooooohohhhhhhhhooo!

babies a-coming?

Tutter · 18/07/2007 07:17

yup, think so lulu

contractions 8ish minutes apart (but oddly, sometimes 5 mins, sometimes 10) and not too painful atm - haven't reached for the TENS yet

have spoken to the hosp who are pretty relaxed about whne i go up

will prob head up to avoid rush hour - plus want to make sure i get time for the group b strep iv abs

Tutter · 18/07/2007 07:18

oh dear i appear to ahve hijacked 2+1's thread - maybe i shall be an attention seeker and start my own

BandofMuggles · 18/07/2007 07:23

Good Luck Tutter. Hope it's quick and pops out on the first push

MarsLady · 18/07/2007 08:03

wow tutter! Why not see if you can wait till after rush hour. If they are no closer together I mean (and no longer).

Whatever you do..............

Hey lulalullabye... how you going?

MissPitstop · 18/07/2007 08:20

Oh I wish I had known you were all still posting. I was still awake at 3am having contractions but they weren't getting any stronger or closer together. They must have calmed down a bit tho cos I managed to fall asleep at about 3.30am. They woke me up again at 6 am but they aren't as strong or as close as before. Have tried more sex and fresh pineapple. Booked in for reflexology this am. Good luck 2+1 and Tutter

LieselVentouse · 18/07/2007 09:40

Tutter you still here?

jabuti · 18/07/2007 09:46

*exciting** i think tutter may be at the hospital!!!

HermionesPatronus · 18/07/2007 09:50

scream of excitement

lulumama · 18/07/2007 12:36

yay !!

twoplusone · 18/07/2007 15:51

Lee Anthony was born at 4.05 this morning. (3.05UK time)

Got to the hospital at 12.40 was only 1cm.. and he had turned himself back to back.. Machine wasnt picking up contractions but his heart rte kept dropping to aslow as 89 then shooting up to 190.. he eventually settled down. At 2.30 got in the bath, didnt really help got out at 3 and asked to be examined was only 2cm. Contractions were coming fast.

At 345 I asked for pain relief.. think I was given meptid.. at 4am I said I needed a poo.. dh called for the mw who said she would check me.. she was very shocked to tell me I could push, Lee crowned with the first push and with the second his waters went and he came out and landed on the bed..

We are both doing well. I am very sore though
