Cant explain.. not sure whats going on really, just feel like things are starting. (or do you think I could be hoping to much!!)

My fanjo feels like it is about to explode, my lower back is going on and off in spasms, and quite strong irregular tightenings. I know this vcould go on ofr a few days yet.. but body wise I feel different!! does this make sense.
I have put my babysitter on alert just incase we need her in the middle of the night.

(probably will still be here past due date.. on SUnday then will feel embarressed.. )

No show or anything yet.. just uncomfortable and enough to pain in back and tummy to make me wince.....

but watching this thread with great interest and wishing you all luck!

Princesspowersparkle · 16/07/2007 21:47

Hi Tutter- I had some shooting pains yesterday where you said and my waters went this morning so fingers crossed!!

Lulu/ Klaw- babies movements have slowed down a lot since waters went- is this normal? Have felt it afew times and can feel it pushing down rather then fidgeting.

x

twoplusone · 16/07/2007 23:04

Goodluck pps.. I would say it is normal as long as you are feeling movements..

I am off to bed now hopefully things will progress tommorrow. Going to get some rest.
Getting a few tightenings but nothing to get excited about, still getting the period cramps also. (hopefully wont be keeping my next hospital appointment for thursday..!!)

Speak to you all in the morning.xx

Try to keep your chin up, you know your lo is definately on the way!

Hope you have a lovely birth

Tutter · 17/07/2007 17:19

had my reflexology/acupressure session

blardy sore

since, have felt really nauseous - common i believe

but nothing else. was a bit disappointed that apparently baby's head is no longer engaged (it was 3/5ths last week) but apparently not uncommon for head to bob in an out of pelvis with second pregnancies

foxybrown · 17/07/2007 17:39

ooh, I had acupuncture last wednesday - I was 6 cms with no contractions on thursday morning - baby came in time for Eastenders

... just saying ...

MissPitstop · 17/07/2007 18:37

Hi, thought I'd join in as well. I'm nearly 39 weeks with DS3. I have had contractions on and off since 24 weeks and had my labour stoped twice. Im now having contractions every 3-5 mins which go on for a few hours then vanish! This is happening about 3 times a week, on Sunday night I did 12 hours of really painful contractions about 2-3 mins apart, went down to L&D convinced this was finally it. They were great but then found out that I'm still only 3 cm so I'm back at home. Ive tried sex, nipple stim, fresh pineapple and am booked for reflexology tomorrow. Im really hoping to get into established labour on my own this time, I had to be induced with the first two after similar problems and had really horrible labours. Fingers crossed for tomorrow and to both of you.

The contractions are coming every 3-5 mins at the mo and make me double up when they come. How can I make sure that they are going to stay this time rather than stopping like all the other times? Really hope to be cuddling my baby before the weekend!?!

lulumama · 17/07/2007 19:13

visualise cervix opening

let go of any last minute fears/ worries / anxieties

nipple stim & sex

if in doubt, eat some cake !!
