How long did it take for your induction to work?

Hi ladies, I'm 37+3 with twins and in hospital atm waiting for my pessary to be induced! I'm just curious as to how long anyone else's induction took from start to finish? Obviously I know everyone is different but I'm just intrigued (plus reading about it may help pass the time 🙈)

Induced just after 37 weeks with my first. From first pessary to birth about 36 hours. Nothing much happened after first pessary. Had a sweep and second pessary about 27
hours later and things got started within a couple of hours. Midwife was ignoring me so I took the pessary out myself at some point because I was scared, but it all carried on ok anyway. I went for lots of walks
around the hospital between scheduled checks, which broke up the tedium. All the best!

3 days then waters broke then drip.

Had pessary then drip. Labour just stopped and had emergency section 30 hours after pessary

Induction started with drip at 9pm. Didn't work and baby born nearly 5 hours later by c-section.

I went straight onto the drip at 0cm but fully effaced. Baby was born 4.5hrs after they started it. Although I was having very mild and very irregular contractions for approximately 12hrs before the drip started, so something was obviously going on before they started the induction.

Sorry for the late reply ladies, my twins were born at 12:45 that night! I had the pessary in at 11am and only had little niggles of pain up until 4pm (when the pessary fell out and was reinserted) then all of a sudden started getting very strong period cramps! I had a walk for an hour around the hospital and some dinner and had to have my partner wheel me back to the birth suite in a wheelchair as the contractions were so strong and close together! I managed to bounce on the birthing ball for a while and helped me manage the contractions that were 5 mins apart.. then I was monitored and the contractions were literally on top of each other so I had some gas and air which eased it a bit, had an examination and was only 4cm, was given an epidural and my body must have relaxed as I went from 4-9cm In less than an hour! Around 12:30am I said to my partner I felt like I needed to push, then felt like my waters had gone and he had a check for me to see the bag of waters coming out but still intact! Buzzed for the midwife and all of a sudden she started putting gloves on and getting all the staff in needed for a twin birth, my waters popped and twin 1's head started being born with no pushing at all! It was so quick, a few small pushes and she was out! Midwife held twin 2's head in place to make sure she was still in the right position, 7mins later she was born.. no stitches needed and minimum pushing 😊 got to say was the easiest birth I could have imagined, absolutely in love with them both💗 so in total it took 13 hours 45 mins from pessary to babies being born x

How amazing for you congratulations xx

I was induced with my twins! 20 mins after the pessary went in my waters broke and I was contracting!
(Having been told it would take a while as my body was only just starting to think about it) I got to 7cm quickly but had an epidural which slowed down the last few cm.
Good luck! Twins are the best x
