Did you guess the babies sex or have a feeling and it turn out right or wrong?

I have a dd but this time round one minute I think girl then the next boy....

Last pregnancy I knew I was having a girl and didn’t even find out!

Not bothered this time round but thought it would be interesting to hear other people’s views...

I just knew it was a boy each time, when I had dreams or thought of my baby it was always a boy I pictured! Maybe just coincidence or maybe there is some chemical message the womb can send to the brain..

Yep. I was convinced I was having a boy. I dreamt about it, picked a name and that was it.
When it was all over, the midwife asked if I wanted to see what I'd had and I said "yes but I already know he's a boy"

Girl.

And what a beautiful girl she is! Took us 5 days to name her as we hadn't picked one I was that convinced she was a boy!

First time I was convinced it was a DD and I was right. Second time, I desperately wanted a DD (although I know a DS would have been fine, too) but wasn't sure. Luckily, I got my second DD.

My sister was absolutely certain she was having a boy and so was everyone else. She had a girl

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but I 'guessed' right every time with all mine, and this was in the days before scans and having the option to find out in advance.

Yes. Wanted a girl each time but knew from the start I was having boy, girl, boy. A long time before scans.

With dc3 I thought I was probably going to have a boy, because the pregnancy was somehow similar to my pregnancy my ds and somehow different to my pregnancy with my dd. I couldn't put my finger on it - all three pregnancies were actually very different, but something about the way I felt, my emotions, my nausea, was very similar to ds, but very different to dd.

I had another ds.

I was so sure my first child was a boy I had bought newborn boys clothes and neutral ones. I had a girl.

Second child I ignored any feelings I had on whether it was a boy or girl as I had been wrong the first time. It was a boy.

Both times I had people tell me what gender I was carrying due to “carrying high” etc. it was always a mix of guesses from them.

Absolutely no way of knowing though is there? I thought girl. No other reason than I thought it was a girl. Was in fact a boy. You've got a 50% chance of getting it right so not a massive shock if you get it right or wrong.

First time was absolutely convinced it was a boy - it was a girl. Second time was absolutely convinced it was a boy - it was a boy. So 50% hit rate.

My grandmother had a "feeling" that we would have a boy. The ultrasound showed that we would have a girl. My grandmother was right.

My Dh was right both times

He knew 100% by 15 weeks what they were and was right.

He suspected from 9 weeks

He is quite creepy when he does it as I haven't seen him wrong yet

Right with 5 of my 6. The only one I was wrong with was no.4, was convinced that we were having a boy, but she was a girl.

Actually I think OP that you’ve earned the money from the modelling, not your child. You’ve done the research, the organisation, transport, given your time standing there, prepared baby and done all the admin. Baby has just sat or laid there being cooed at and interacted with. Probably as good as any jo jangles session. So I don’t think it’s exploitation, it’s a family activity that just happens to earn rather than cost. Good on you for it. So I’d take the money if the family needs it. Anything that wasn’t needed for the family I would put aside for that particular baby but hopefully there won’t be any non modelling siblings in future who get nothing in comparison?

Anyway, though money can be tight now due to the particular time in our lives I’m confident I’ll be giving my kids their full uni education paid for and probably deposits on their first homes so I don’t think ours will be unsupported financially in the future which maybe makes me a bit blasé about using the money for the family. I might feel different if I thought we wouldn’t be paying for those things later.

I suspected twin boys, then I suspected a single boy and I was right. I looked at girls names and clothes but knew deep down I wouldn't need them. This time I feel like it's a girl, if I'm honest, but it seems ridiculous that I could know and also I'm afraid to admit I think it's a girl in case I'm disappointed. I'm only 6 weeks!!
