And she is mighty fed up too ! She is fine, baby is fine, she just gets five to eight hour bouts of contractions that look like they are going somewhere and then peter out. This has been going on since Tuesday, so you can be sure she is pretty ~@#*ed off !!

BTW - I am Cadbury's DH, taking over internet posting duties while she rests in bed with Kleenex and Top of Pops 2.

Will post again as and when.

thanks hunker - I'd gpo for labour or a lottery win right now - either would be fine.

oliveoil · 13/02/2007 13:24

book yourself a 3 hours session at the hairdressers for tomorrow at 10am for some pampering, highlights etc

I will guarantee you will have given birth by 9.55am tomorrow

Cadbury · 13/02/2007 13:25

will you pay for it oliveoil?

I book Aero to come round tofday with that very idea - sadly, the baby is more stubborn than I am cunning.

Thanks Mellowma - just really tired and frustrated again now. Going to attempt lunch and watch a film with the kids to stop them killing each other.

TrinityRhino · 13/02/2007 14:03

for you cadbury
I feel for you, I really do, but just think that with all this niggling your birth will be really quick cause your body will be soooo ready. I know that wont help to make you feel beetter now.
Sending HUGE labour vibes your way

Cadders. You know the drill. Pineapple, curry and a shag. Get to it, girl....

hunkermunker · 13/02/2007 14:07

Just think, all these contractions you're having will mean your actual delivery will take seconds.

:::vibes:::

hunkermunker · 13/02/2007 14:07

Bubble, you old romantic, you

Cadbury · 13/02/2007 14:08

still having sporadic contractions but nowt regular.

seeing midwife at 4pm for another sweep.
and will then come back on here for a big cry and howl cos I'm still at 3cms or have closed up totally.

Cadbury · 13/02/2007 14:09

that's the theory hunker - but so far it's taken a week . . . .

hunkermunker · 13/02/2007 14:10

Do you know if you're having a boy or a girl? Do you have names sorted?

[tries to focus Cadders on baby not labour of same]

Cadbury · 13/02/2007 14:12

no - don't know. have a selection of names but will wait to meet the blighter to see what h/she looks like.

MrsDoolittle · 13/02/2007 14:13

Oh Cadbury you have my sympathies.

This was me last year, we celebrated ds 1st birthday on Sunday.

I was niggling for a fortnight, finally when it happened he shot out!

All the very best........

Bubble99 · 13/02/2007 14:21

I'm one classy laydee, munker.

hunkermunker · 13/02/2007 14:22

You've pulled me, Bubble, with your romantic chat-up line there

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/02/2007 16:24

Cadders, I reckon you are about 8 cms dilated and coping just marvellously with it

AnAngelWithin · 13/02/2007 19:50

cadbury how did it go ? how are you doing?

Aero · 13/02/2007 20:12

waiting for news......................

Saw Cadders earlier today and she was definitely contracting in between our five kids driving us mad. Some quite strong about every five minutes or so.

Midwife was still there with her last I heard around teatime. Contractions every three minutes then. It's all very exciting. Hoping it's not long now.

lulumama · 13/02/2007 20:12

sounds like the big event ! send positive vibes and a back rub from me !

Aero · 13/02/2007 20:15

I had the privilege of giving her a backrub earlier and I know our midwife is an expert (she delivered ds2), so she's in good hands.

lulumama · 13/02/2007 20:16

hope all goes well xxxxxxx

I'm hopeful/convinced even, that this is it this time - poor girl's been contracting for a week now and is knackered. She's had enough, so post all your best positive vibes here!
