And she is mighty fed up too ! She is fine, baby is fine, she just gets five to eight hour bouts of contractions that look like they are going somewhere and then peter out. This has been going on since Tuesday, so you can be sure she is pretty ~@#*ed off !!

BTW - I am Cadbury's DH, taking over internet posting duties while she rests in bed with Kleenex and Top of Pops 2.

Will post again as and when.

aha - well you will be fine for your homne birth then. I was 2 weeks late with my middle two and they were both born at home. Beleive in yourself, enjoy the time without a new born and try to relax..it will happen

gothicmama · 11/02/2007 18:39

try and relax and not focus on the imminient labour put your mindset to enjoying halfterm with the kids

Cadbury · 11/02/2007 18:52

I'll try

Dh reckons I should book myself with activities everyday for the next week and that it will ensure this stubborn child turns up, just to spite me.

Think I'll see if some friends want to come over and do coffee with their kids.

gothicmama · 11/02/2007 18:53

sounds like a good plan

Flamesparrow · 11/02/2007 20:53

Oh honey (Or should that be chocolate?)

Huge baby squeezing out hugs!

Cadbury · 12/02/2007 19:34

still here and in one piece - dh has gone back to work. Trying to find the energy to keep going with the kids.

have had the odd nasty contraction and loads of very uncomfortable bh but nowt more.

I now doubt that I am pregnant or that I will in fact un-dilate, close up and grow another plug. This baby will not be born.

MrsGordonRamsay · 12/02/2007 19:36

Such a drama queen.

Carmenere · 12/02/2007 19:39

OMG you poor thing! MGR a bit more sympathy please!! You are reminding me of me when dd had refused to show up by week 42, I was crying in the bedroom and my mum asked dp what was wrong with me and he told her that I was upset because I thought it was unlikely that I would even like a baby that had put me through such hell, not to mind love it
Of course it was all alright in the end

Tell her Boris said to get on with it, she is dragging it out now

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/02/2007 19:43

Will get Hunker to send some vibes.....she has magical ones I'm certain of it

Sorry you are having a rough time

I went over with DD - right to the limit. Sounds like your wait wont be much longer. Rest if you are tired, if you arent, fill your time as much as possible. Seeing folk does help to while away the hours....although, you will have to ask them NOT to ask them about pg/baby/labour related things. AND they must buy you chocolate.

MrsGordonRamsay · 12/02/2007 19:44

The decency police took over....

The mere thought of a poor delicate Cadders doing that deed.

LGJ ponders how babies really get here....................................................................

MrsGordonRamsay · 12/02/2007 19:44

And then it was back..........how strange....

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/02/2007 19:45

Its a bit late in the day to be playing the "Virgin" card LGJ

lulumama · 12/02/2007 19:45

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/02/2007 19:53

I learnt the hard way that I cant....

hunkermunker · 12/02/2007 22:57

:::vibes:::

PPH's sister (Orangina) had her baby literally as I posted those last time. VVVQV got lovely news about some unexpected vouchers when I sent her some.

Cadders, thinking of you and hoping those vibes work. Let's face it, you'll either have a baby or your numbers will come up on the Premium Bonds with my form to date.

Lots of love x x x x x

Aero · 12/02/2007 23:04

Awwwwwwwwwwww Cadders, my sweet. Be patient - this baby will arrive soon - (probably tomorrow, cause we're coming round). Will bring my best pushing and breathing and calm vibes with me - do we need more chocolate????

Cadbury · 13/02/2007 11:17

pmsl at you lot.

lulumama - may I suggest you leave that out of your doula patter!

well they went off again last night and have come back again this morning. Aero is here - c0o plete with hot towls and a knowledge of homebirth. Meant to be seeing midwife later today anyway - chances are these will have gone again by then.
Might try the tens soon.

hunkermunker · 13/02/2007 11:59

:::VIBES:::

Mumpbump · 13/02/2007 12:13

If it's any consolation, I had very slight contractions for a few days before ds was induced. When they checked me, I was already 3 cm dilated so I am sure all your contractions must be doing something!!

Cadbury · 13/02/2007 13:21

Mumpbump - I've been having contractions bith strong and weak for 1 week now. I have been at 3cms since Thursday and I doubt I'm much further on since then. If I had got to 4cm, then it would be established labour and it wouldn't be stopping.

Having had strong contractions for 4 hours this morning, they are now tailing off again. I just have no hope or any mental energy left.
