LOLOLOLO! no , she wasn;t in the room!

she left me as i was 3 cm, had pethidine and had had a sloooooooow build up, 15 hours of labour to get to 3 cm....

an hour later, my waters broke,, dh went to find her, she asked are you sure,, he said, oh yes !! i was 7 cm !

My nurse and midwife weren't around either. I was having dry heaves and telling dh I couldn't do it anymore, he didn't know what to do, and wanted to tell the midwife that we didn't have to have the baby that day, and it could wait till the next.

I wonder what he'll be like this time around.

I sat on the loo for an hour, trying to poo without pushing. DH was very patient.

When the midwife finally came back she said "for goodness sake woman, you dont need to poo, you need to push". No one bothered to tell me that at 10cm, fully effaced, the pressure feels like needing to poo.

I'd spent so long panting and not pushing, that when they told me to push, I was exhausted and it took a good hour to get her out.

It's a good thing you didn't push, your baby would have been born on the toilet. What a lovely story for the future.

Tee Hee. LOL MKG. That would have saved DH from having to go out to wet the babys head!

Good luck Debs. try and relax as much as you can in between contractions. And if all else fails take it all out on DH

I loved the gas and air. I thought I was Rula Lenska. My voice went all deep and gravely. It didn't agree with me at all. They took it off me coz I was too pissed to push!!

debs,....if they are coming hard and fast, then hang on in therel..if you can still post onhere...you don;t need to go to hospital yet...

when you are in the zone of closing your eyes, not talking and being in your own world, DH needs to take you to hospital, get him to put the bags in the car now..

I think it was Mr Debbsy doing the last post. It was very, to the point,IYKWIM.

I can't imagine DH would have been able to get me in the car when I was in the zone. I was so in it I was rooted to the spot!
