Morning Lulu and everyone else

I have had about half an hours sleep, I had really bad heartburn all night, picture very round woman sat on chair, wearing absolutely nothing, almost climbing the walls and crying like a banshee everytime another ripple of heartburn struck, and you get something similar to how my night went!! Contractions were really strong to the point where I had to walk around, coming every 4-5 minutes, and I had the most awful taste in the back of my throat, felt like I'd inhaled half a bottle of hairspray, whcih was making me feel sick....

God, I don't need to explain any more, I just had a shitty night basically!

I promise I will try to moan less from now on today

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 08:08

Thanks LG&T, we will catch up later, I am off to do the same as you really, except with just one child... still....!! LOL

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 08:45

im here ive got to phone the hospital as ive had a huge very bloody show this morning similar to what you get when you come on a period and periody type pains,my mw has told me to contact the hospital. It will be ok wont it?

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 08:55

ive rang them ive got to monitor babys movements over the next 2 hours then call them back.

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:04

Posting here as well incase you are watching this one.

I am sure it will be fine, have you felt baby move this morning? Are you feeling OK, apart from being heavily pregnant?!

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:14

LG&T, is everything OK? What happened yesterday? Tell be to keep my nose out if you want!

largevirginbirthandtonic · 05/12/2006 10:08

Hello, dont worry Debs, it can look very bloody (show that is) it just means your cervix is softening and moving, and hopefully effacing (becoming flat) before it starts to open. If the baby is happily moving it's just a case of sitting and waiting.....

I have posted on the due in may thread NJ about last night, it's a pants situation and im still not sure what to do.

Here's hoping for some baby action today from you and Debs...

Am going to make snowmen cakes in a mo, it's such a cute little tin and i cover them in fluffy white american frosting. I just love xmas...

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 11:15

im ok thanks just been watching babies movements and hes just done a 2 min dance for me after i had beans n toast so hes ok.Just got backache and mild type period pain havent lost much more,it just scared me a little this morning.xxx

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 12:29

oooh Nat heartburn its vile i get it everyday even before ive eaten anything try drinking lots of milk it does work, and smaller meals too.xx

Rosydingdongmerrily · 05/12/2006 12:57

I'm getting yucky heartburn too. Nj when I was expecting ds1 and in hospital for a checkup, there was a very pregnant woman throwing a big massive tantrum. She was shouting "get this baby out of me I'm not leaving"

lulumama · 05/12/2006 13:05

i cried at my 39 week appointment...and got a sweep!!! i terrified the doctor as my regular obs was away and was used to my sobbing ........

this poor girl, she said brightly, 'how are you>' and i just wailed and said 'please make me go into labour!'

how sad am I????

Morning everyone!

I had the weirdest dreams about a bear attacking us. It actually ate my dog, and the worst part is that I got the gory details. I hate pregnancy dreams.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 05/12/2006 13:58

Thank you for the hugs lulu, im trying not to think about it. The may thread have given me loads of practical advice so im gonna do something about it next week when dh is home, yes home oooohhhhh i love saying that.

Lulu at the ball they will all be in their dress uniform...> I will try and get photos for you...

MKG i woder if you can get some sort of dream shutting down device....you must be afraid to go to sleep every night incase you have another horrid dream! Think of pink fluffy clouds, floating angels and other nice things before you sleep...

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 05/12/2006 14:09

The sad thing about these dreams is that some night I dream about the baby, and others I get very violent nightmares. Both are very detailed though. It's been 3 hours now, and I remember every detail. I'm going to look up what bears mean. Will be right back.

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 14:12

I have caught up on some sleep, it was interupted by the phone ringing though, the midwife asking why I hadn't turned up to my appointment today, obviously I didn't know I had an appointment today else I'd have been there! Bit annoying on two counts because if I'd have known I had an appointment today I could have had my sweep, and I wouldn't have minded seeing someone, even if they can't do anything and it is just for peace of mind, because this swelling is just getting worse, I can't even move my feet now, I could barely get my trainers on this morning to take DS to school, with the laces as loose as they can be, I've no idea what I am going to wear to go and pick him up! I don't know if it is just because it is all so swollen, so it is making me a bit clamy, but when I press my feet my fingers actually feel damp, no where near even a droplet of water comes out or anything, but I can honestly feel moisture on my fingers.

LG&T I have to go and ring my sister, else I will be in big trouble, but I will read through your post on the may thread after, I hope things are looking better today xxx

MKG, have you tried calming things before bed like drinking chocolate or a nice warm bath etc. to try and relaz your brain a bit? If not, a bottle of Vodka would probably see of the dreams for a night

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 05/12/2006 14:12

"To dream that you are being pursued or attacked by a bear, denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. You may find yourself in a threatening situation. Alternatively, bears symbolize the cycle of life and death and renewal. It may signal of period of introspection and thinking. The dream may also be a pun on "bare". Perhaps you need to bare your soul and let everything out into the open."

The only thing that makes sense to me, is the cycle of life thing. I don't feel threatened, or competative, and my soul is an open book.

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 05/12/2006 14:14

You know what I do every night. I sip my mint tea before bed, and watch "Friends" and "Sex and the City" reruns on tv.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 05/12/2006 14:24

I watch the friends reruns every night too MKG. i love them they always make me happy.

NJ, how frustrating! You need to have your feet right up NJ, a footstool is not high enough, you need to put cushions on it too. Drink plenty and rest lots, alternate between feet up and sitting very upright or the baby will fall back to back.

lulumama · 05/12/2006 14:29

NJ - you must ring the midwife re the swelling, eps if you can feel moisture......

off to do school run

MKG - get a dream catcher

LVB&T - need video never mind pics !

catch up on my return xxxxx

NJ I know how you feel. At the end of my last pregnancy walking hurt, because of all the pressure on my feet. I gained a lot of weight but lost 30 pounds two weeks after . I think it was all fluid. It is torture when you blow up like a balloon. All I can say is watch your salt, drink water, and keep your feet up. I used to think that if I pricked myself with a pin I could drain the water out. I tried and it didn't work.

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 05/12/2006 14:32

lulu that is so weird because I have a dreamcatcher. A friend gave me one about 12 years ago, and I still have it over my bed.

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 14:51

I have had my feet up on pillows in bed all day, my legs/ankles/feet are defintely the worse bits, but everywhere is swollen as well, even my belly all inbetween my stretch marks is all puffed up (as if they needed any help to look worse!!), and my scalp, my tounge, the only place that feel relativly normal is my wrists, but my hands and upper arms are swollen.

Well, I suppose, although it doesn't help me much at the moment, it can all only go on till next Wednesday, having said that, the only time I pusffed up with DS was after I'd had him so it may get worse before it gets better! LOL How much moaning do you think I will do then?
