Am I in labour???

I know it has been done 1000 times before, but if nothing else I just want something to do with myself while my body decides what it is going to do.

I felt fine all day, got to about about 5 o'clock-ish, and very suddenly started to feel sick, didn't want to eat dinner but DH made me eat some toast which perked me up a bit, have been having fairly mild but intense contractions (can you have mild and intense at the same time?!!) with a tiny bit of back pain, coming every 8-10 minutes or so. The contractions aren't painful, but just really tight, and the baby has dropped really low.

Anyone who has followed the last 5 weeks with me, this is completely different to every contraction I have had before!

I actually feel really silly posting this, in case it turns out to be nothing, but I am bored and can't concentrate on the telly, so thought it would at least take some time up.

I really like it NativityJane! Or MerryMellowmas if you want a bit of alliteration to spice it up.

Well done. Better than any of mine. Let's see what Melloma thinks...

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 16:07

Nope, I think you're on a winner there with Mellowma.

twelvedaysofchristmas · 01/12/2006 16:12

Can you really bow with that big bump?

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 16:14

Well it is a kind of frog crouch more than a bow, but never mind that....

I won, I won, I won!!! That is my greatest achievement for a while LOL

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 19:48

(TMI WARNING I have lost 6 great big lumps of my show today, I honestly don't know where it is coming from, well obviously I do know where it is coming from, but is it normal to have so much? And to think if I lost any with DS, it was whilst I was in labour with him. None of it smells or anything so no reason to think infection, it is mostly a creamy-whitey colour rather than green now, no blood, and so many BH this evening, but we have been round Asda so probably just a result of that.

I am still convinced there is going to be no shifting him before induction but I wish my body would just give me a rest for a bit

lulumama · 01/12/2006 19:51

nativityjane.....nothing on here is TMI ! you should know that!! good name !!!
