Am I in labour???

I know it has been done 1000 times before, but if nothing else I just want something to do with myself while my body decides what it is going to do.

I felt fine all day, got to about about 5 o'clock-ish, and very suddenly started to feel sick, didn't want to eat dinner but DH made me eat some toast which perked me up a bit, have been having fairly mild but intense contractions (can you have mild and intense at the same time?!!) with a tiny bit of back pain, coming every 8-10 minutes or so. The contractions aren't painful, but just really tight, and the baby has dropped really low.

Anyone who has followed the last 5 weeks with me, this is completely different to every contraction I have had before!

I actually feel really silly posting this, in case it turns out to be nothing, but I am bored and can't concentrate on the telly, so thought it would at least take some time up.

LG&T, You can still get the babies, but I haven't seen the preemies. I remember when my mom got me one when I was in Kindergarden . Her name was Jacabena Dorio. I though the didn't make them anymore until I was in the store a few weeks ago. I never smelled mine by the way.

MarsLady · 30/11/2006 14:32

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MKG · 30/11/2006 14:37

But Mars, now she has waddle over to get her shoe back. That could take all day.

MarsLady · 30/11/2006 14:40

MKG.... you are my kinda woman! lol

Toady · 30/11/2006 14:51

Hello Ladies!!

{{bends down and picks up NJs shoe}}

Would anybody like a cup of tea??

Sorry NJ have been supporting you mentally but no time to talk over the last few days. LOL at this thread, absolutely brilliant.

Toady sits quietly in the corner and promptly falls asleep {{snore}}

lulumama · 30/11/2006 14:53

NatalieJane · 30/11/2006 14:55

I might be pretty useless at going into labour, but throwing I can do!

Just shoved the last pressie in the back of the coat cupboard... no idea if I will ever find them all again!!

Must go and get my DS from school now, do you think I will get to sit down at all today?!!

Ive done that before NJ, put pressies away and forgotten all about them till easter!

Im eating a vast bowl of natural yoghurt and honey, cos im on antibiotics and prg you just know what im gonna get.....

The house is all quiet, dc's father (huh) has them all this weekend, him and his (im not really shagging the student in the loft) girlfriend (age 22, massive norks and legs quite possibly taller than my entire body) have just done the school run and taken them all away till sunday The kids love it though, but now im all alone. well i have my wriggling bump and you guys......

scones do sound yummy, and they are soft so not much chewing involved (teeth still bad). I have total sympathy for your baby toady, teeth coming through are horrid. I might go and dig out some of Hugs homeopathic sachets....

MKG · 30/11/2006 16:39

Maybe it went unnoticed LG&T. Most of our discussions are silliness anyway.

emmatom · 30/11/2006 16:41

frumpygrumpy · 30/11/2006 17:02

christmas2NDTIMEmistletoeandwi · 30/11/2006 17:19

Hi all!

Just wanted to let you know how funny I think you all are. (and a little bit mad too)

The kids had to wait a good hour for tea while I pmsl at you lot and your virtual cake, tea, icecream, back rubs and shoe throwing!!!

NJ, what's the latest? I missed I'm a Celebrity for you last night!!!

MKG · 30/11/2006 17:25

I think NJ is still waddling to retrieve her shoe, or she hid the presents so far back in the closet that she is stuck in there.

largeginandtonic · 30/11/2006 17:29

It could be a Narnia type wardrobe MKG....we may never see her again....

christmas2NDTIMEmistletoeandwi · 30/11/2006 17:33

One of the poor mummies at school is overdue since Saturday. She was all excited yesterday morning as her waters had gone in bed and she was on her way the birthing unit.
She turned up red faced at the school gates in the afternoon. Waters intact, she'd peed the bed!!

largeginandtonic · 30/11/2006 17:47

LOL 2ndtime.....

Poor lady, all these overdue babies , im thinking we should all adjust our dates to a week later now to save hassle at the end.....

Bring me up to speed someone?
Let me guess...still nothing imminent and still no one interested?
