I know it has been done 1000 times before, but if nothing else I just want something to do with myself while my body decides what it is going to do.

I felt fine all day, got to about about 5 o'clock-ish, and very suddenly started to feel sick, didn't want to eat dinner but DH made me eat some toast which perked me up a bit, have been having fairly mild but intense contractions (can you have mild and intense at the same time?!!) with a tiny bit of back pain, coming every 8-10 minutes or so. The contractions aren't painful, but just really tight, and the baby has dropped really low.

Anyone who has followed the last 5 weeks with me, this is completely different to every contraction I have had before!

I actually feel really silly posting this, in case it turns out to be nothing, but I am bored and can't concentrate on the telly, so thought it would at least take some time up.

Can you imagine if this carries on for the full two weeks? Everyone will be so bored of my tales of woe by then, no one will give a damn by the time Jelly Baby puts in his appearance!

It's what doulas do NJ.... wait! lol (However disinterestly)

NatalieJane · 28/11/2006 18:41

I expect doulas get even more impatient than the expentant mum, there are downsides to what the mum is waiting for (like the labour and sleepless nights etc.) but the doula gets all the good bits!

DH has come home so I am off to be pampered for the rest of the evening, will probably be back later when he goes to bed And before if anything does happen!!

See you all later xxx

I care...am still excited in a dont really care whats going on kind of way...!

Lulu Ina May was one of the first books i read after i started my training, she is so inspiring. I have it somewhere must dig it out have not read it for years, have a lovely Sheila Kitzinger book too, 'birthing your way' also lovely.

Am going to have my reheated cottage pie now, but will probably eat it sat right here. Kids all very tired tonight (or is that me?) so they are all in bed already, the twins are on the phone but will be off to sleep soon. Im so mean....but they all got up dragging their feet this morning and have been moody all day.

Anyone else want some before i go downstairs?

lulumama · 28/11/2006 18:44

largeginandtonic · 28/11/2006 18:52

Oh id much prefer that, how yum. Ordered or made lulu? A takeaway pizza sounds delish, better not though...

lulumama · 28/11/2006 18:54

supermarket one... was going to do macaroni cheese...but so terribly tired today.and just couldnt face it will do it tomorrow..

MKG · 28/11/2006 18:59

I just ate lunch and you're talking about dinner already. Oh it's torture. For lunch I ate chiles rellenos that dh and I made the other night. For dinner we are going to have leftover leg of lamb from last night.

largeginandtonic · 28/11/2006 19:11

What are chillies rellenos? They sound very nice...

How was your pizza lulu? I tempted to have an ice cream, i have the quality street ones, the big green (cant eat that without thinking of NJ's show) and the big purple mmmmmmmm yum.

MKG · 28/11/2006 19:44

Chiles rellenos are my most favorite food.

They are poblano peppers (aka anaheim peppers) that are roasted, peeled, stuffed with cheese or meat, put in a batter and fried for a couple minutes. Then they are put into the most wonderful sauce of tomatoes, onions, garlic, cloves, and chicken stock. I'm sure I'm forgetting something especially because I'm starting to not feel so well.
You serve them with rice and beans, and it is the best food ever. Spicy and delicious.

lulumama · 28/11/2006 19:46

Nope. I usually don't get heartburn though. MMM . . . There are two left in the fridge, and I told ds I would save them, I may have to blame the baby if they're gone when he gets home.

lulumama · 28/11/2006 20:05

largeginandtonic · 28/11/2006 20:27
