I know it has been done 1000 times before, but if nothing else I just want something to do with myself while my body decides what it is going to do.

I felt fine all day, got to about about 5 o'clock-ish, and very suddenly started to feel sick, didn't want to eat dinner but DH made me eat some toast which perked me up a bit, have been having fairly mild but intense contractions (can you have mild and intense at the same time?!!) with a tiny bit of back pain, coming every 8-10 minutes or so. The contractions aren't painful, but just really tight, and the baby has dropped really low.

Anyone who has followed the last 5 weeks with me, this is completely different to every contraction I have had before!

I actually feel really silly posting this, in case it turns out to be nothing, but I am bored and can't concentrate on the telly, so thought it would at least take some time up.

Gorden bennit, were you bored?!!! It must have taken you ages!!

But yes it is lovely to have all of this support, especially when DH is still at work, although I suspect most are that fed up of my 'is this it' questions, they would like to support me right out of MN!

DH has had a sniff, poor bloke!! He says he could smell a little bit of wee, but I had just had a wee so understandable, and he said he could smell something else that was stronger, but he wouldn't describe it as sweet.

Make of that what you will...

Likewise mellow, just poking head round door to share very funny event, not even bothered about NJ's period type pains.....

Just tidied kitchen after tea and spotted a lump of jelly on the floor...greenish...picked it up it was quite firm...thought long and hard about what it could be, Could only think of NJ's show.....PMSL until one of the dt's came in and whipped it out my hands, with a very enthusiastic "thanks mum, been looking for that" Apparantly it was a bit of an alien mummy. You know those awful alien pod things that come in an egg, the baby 'hatches' out of the mothers head, now there's a thought.....

NatalieJane · 23/11/2006 18:55

No, he doesn't think so. It really does just smell very bodily... LOL I know that doesn't help, it wasn't a partic. nasty smell, and I know this is going to sound really daft, but it smells warm.... I know I said it was daft but it does smell warm....

I am never ever ever going to live this thread down, ever
