I'm in labour - when do I phone the labour ward?

This is my 2nd pg, and I'm having contractions today and it hurts I've been having them since 2am this morning they are every 10 mins or so - haven't changed since - except that they are lasting longer and more painful. I don't want to go into hospital too early, but when should I phone the labour ward to go in? I'm scared too.

Hello everyone. THANK YOU SO MUCH mumsnetters for all your lovely lovely kind words of encouragement. I've had a gorgeous ds today at 2.43am. I've put all the details on the birth announcements thread.
