Where did your waters break?

I know most peoples go when they are already in labour so probably somewhat prepared, last time mine went in my friends spare bed ,completely unexpected. I'm now 37 weeks and feeling a little nervous! Anyone else had their waters go in interesting places?

With ds they went at home when I was in labour, trickle not a gush.
With dd I was in the pool pushing when the midwife announced my waters had gone.

As I was getting up from the sofa.. only a hindwater leak though. The rest exploded out as DC1 came out!

Sainsbury's car park! had Dd1, then 19 months old with me and a trolley full of shopping.

I was never aware of mine going, my labour started with mucus plug.

Had my waters broken by the midwife to speed things up

All over the bed, bedroom floor, a lovely splattering trail all the way along the hall to the bathroom, a wonderful back-splash up my calves, in the loo and then on the bathroom floor. I was laughing as it happened as at first I thought I was wetting myself.

In the birthing pool as I reached into the water to lift up DD2! It's supposed to be lucky apparently.

Wow Ivy is that called 'en caul' or summink? Did it feel different to your previous birth(s)?

On the loo, not very exciting but great not to have anything to clean up afterwards! :D

In bed, felt a pop and a bit of pain and thought 'oh I need the loo'. Turned over and it all came gushing out like a river. Bit shocking really!

Out for lunch with my colleagues at 37+5. I finished my pudding before I left and no one was any the wiser. DS born 48 hours later

1st time broken for me in induction

2nd time on the loo halfway through labour, went for a wee and bang.

At the pub. Thought I'd wet myself, wasn't fun.

For my two VBs I have no idea if they actually did break. No gushing anytime!

Watching Sharon Osborne at 5 with a cuppa. All over my sofa. Then the sticky plug thing popped out in the bathroom just after.

No.2 in the hospital, hook, lots of blood in them. Cue swearing from mw and about 7 people in the room in about 30s!

In my study. I stood up from my desk and had a dramatic gush all over the carpet & chair. I was quite surprised as DS wasn't due for another 4 and a bit weeks and very relieved that it happened then not 10hrs later when I would have been at work.
I found out later that the builders I worked with were equally disappointed and relieved that they broke at home because they had been secretly planning what to do if my waters broke on the building site, just in case. I was sent a very cute mini hard hat & high vis vest by them in hospital, they were great.

On the couch waiting for xfactor whilst partner just went out for an hour one of the gushing waters too all over my newly washed couch throw overs waddled up to bathroom phoning partner haha

37 weeks by the way and totally unexpected

All over the anaesthetist's feet in the OR. DS then pissed on him too to finish things off! :)

My waters breaking was my first sign of labour. In my bedroom, as I stood up after getting out of bed. It wasn't a gush either, just a 'trickle' so I assumed I'd weed myself. DS arrived that evening!
