Dh delivered our son (ds2) this morning, the paramedic arrived 30secs after he was born! We were supposed to be having a hospital birth but it all went a bit quicker than expected Grin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 13/05/2013 19:47

Wow, well done to both of you! And welcome to your DS. Just curious, nosy really did they make you go to the hospital anyways? And (sorry, I know you have better things to do ATM than answer my questions) where did you give birth - bed, bathroom? I'm just fascinated by this! Grin

Hooleywhipper · 13/05/2013 19:48

LemonBreeland · 13/05/2013 19:55

Congratulations! I had the same almost two years ago. It took me a little while to get over it as it was quite a shock.

I hope you are all recovering well.

MyNameIsAnAnagram · 13/05/2013 20:24

Will post full story tomorrow. Yes we went to hosp but only because the mw who came wanted someone to check my tear, and stitch it.

Congratulations! Do come back & tell us more!

I'd love for that to happen for us! We're planning a homebirth in a few weeks time but I'd quite happily do it all by myself! I hate having people fussing around me, especially when I'm in labour!

SucksToBeMe · 13/05/2013 20:27

Well done to you all!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Tinker2013 · 13/05/2013 22:34

Congratulations, and welcome anagrams DS2.

DD2 will tell you all the best babies are born in their mummy's bedrooms, although her HB was very much planned.

Startail · 14/05/2013 01:42

oh and congrats to your Daddy too and I hope you didn't give him too much of a shock.

TwentyTinyToes · 14/05/2013 01:44

Congratulations, well done! Does he have a name yet?

IcingTheCake · 14/05/2013 10:19

Congratulations! What a lovely surprise!

Dillydollydaydream · 14/05/2013 10:43

Ah congratulations. Glad all is well with you both. My ds2 was very nearly an unattended homebirth but the paramedics appeared just in time to catch his head! I'm pregnant again and due in 2weeks and very anxious this one will be even quicker.

LemonBreeland · 14/05/2013 12:46

Just wanted to add your DH will probably have a special bond with DS2, my DH certainly does with DD having delivered her.

kelda · 14/05/2013 12:48

Congratulations!

Sounds scary though. I had planned homebirths.

Hope everything is going well today.

BlueChampagne · 14/05/2013 14:00

Ha - I managed to have DS2 in the bathroom, thus saving the bed! DH and DS1 downstairs on 999 call as midwife didn't answer phone. He's 3.5 now!
