How was it? Quick?I'm still here 12 days over today booked for ARM on Thursday am hospital being amazing because i'm a pain in the arse and allowing me to have pool birth even with induction and have given me my own 1 to 1 Mw who is a he, see my other thread in chat.I have spoke to him on the phone and he wants to meet me for a chat tomorrow all lovely except that sweep this am seems to have done something and i now have terrible period pains she was rather vigorous at my request .I'm not entirely sure if i'm trickling water or just discharge, sorry TMI.

DH is going out till 9 and leaving me with the kids i can't decide whether to cling to his legs and make him stay, if i do nothing will happen or wave him off and just give birth in the bathroom alone with the other dc for company, grrr. He'll be about 30 mins away and it is work. You may well get that live birth thread after all .

Youtalking - fingers crossed it's something but not too fast to get him home!

Not being a miserable old baggage, but on the last thread nickel's friend said that she had a very sore episiotomy. So I think it is a bit unecessary for people to ask for the gory details. It could well be very distressing for nickel, we don't know what has happened, I think people could be a bit more sensitive as it sounds like she had a tough time.

Getorf didn't even think about using that turn of phrase, I suppose, thinking about it, it's probably not the most sensitive thing to put - so I'll re phrase!

I know daydreaming and I hesitated to post that because I know everyone means it in a lovely way, but it just took me back to 3 days post birth when I sobbed whilst piddling and holding a handtowel over my bits because it stung so badly, and the midwife scoffing when I asked for a paracetamol.

Let's hope she recovers well. Congrats team nickel. Holding on for details!

Getorf Ouch! I had an episiotomy, partially retained placenta and a PPH, and recovered really well afterwards with minimal discomfort so I really hope Nickel was as lucky!
Good job these little ones are worth it hey?

I had an episiotomy and ventouse delivery, I was so sore I couldn't sit down for days! Good job I came home the same day to a houseful of visitors demanding tea and biscuits and taking up all the chairs
