Go Nickel!!

PelvicFloorOfHighTensileTinsel · 11/12/2011 23:21

I've got to go to bed soon.

I really hope that friend 1 has just forgotten Nickel's log in details and is unable to tell us that Nickel is snuggled up with ISBN now or that they're all still too busy to post.

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 11/12/2011 23:23

Right, I must be away to my sleepy slumber. Lots of positive push vibes to the lovely (and possibly shattered) Nickel. Night to those off to bed, morning to the Night/Day Watch people Grin

CaptainSexypantsMcFantastic · 11/12/2011 23:24

I had long pushing stages both times. First time round I hated it as I was forced to stay on my back strapped to monitors as some eejit gave me pethadine which I'm allergic to and I spent most of my labour seizing.

Second time round I really, really enjoyed the pushing. The feeling of needing to push completely took away the pain of the contractions, it was almost pleasureable in a bizarre (and completely non sexual...obviously) way. Till I hit the ring of fire then all I remember is screaming "the only way to make this stop is to juuuuust keeeeeeep puuuuushing" before it descended into mooing and grunting.

You never know, she might just still be pushing or sorting out the placenta or they might all just be far too enamoured with baby Nickel.

MightilyChristmassyOats · 11/12/2011 23:24

Another 2.5 hour pusher here - was convinced it would be a case of 3 pushes and he'd be out.. DS had other ideas and got stuck Hmm

Wishing you well Nickel, the end is in sight!

Pantofino · 11/12/2011 23:34

Belgian clock say 12.34. Alarm goes off at 6. Must go to bed. Good luck Nickel! Hope you have a snuggly baby very, very soon.

Thumbinnapuddingwitch · 11/12/2011 23:37

Waves g'night to MNP and maryz and everyone else too tired to stay the course Wink

Will keep checking - tis only 10:36am here so should know whenever someone posts about it.

C'mon ISBN - out you come now!

saffronwblue · 11/12/2011 23:37

My doctor said "If the baby does not come out on this push I will do a c-section!"
I got him out and afterwards asked her if she always used that line as it was so effective!

ShowOfHands · 11/12/2011 23:37

hero, attempted homebirth. 4hrs pushing at home, bluelight transfer (still pushing), 2hrs of assorted intervention (still pushing), wait for anaesthetist (still pushing).

heroinahalfshell · 11/12/2011 23:39
