I remember when I was having Ds1 (hosp) they wheeled the cot/incubator thingy in and switched it on. It suddenly dawned on me there would be a baby going in it any minute that had come out of me!! Same when they were putting the teeny clothes on the radiator to warm them up a bit.

Does your DH do requests?

Oh sparkling you just brought tears to my eyes. I remember DH bringing in the tiny babygro while I was in labour and I suddenly thought "Oh my god, there's going to be a baby in those clothes soon!" It was such an exciting moment and really spurred me on to keep going. A lovely memory

It's so strange though isn't it Cailin? As if we hadn't had enough time to get to grips with the idea. But it really was a defining moment.

Don't worry about a BP of 85. They didn't worry too much about mine until it went over 95.

The whole time I was pregnant I just could not get my head around the idea that there was a real live person in there. Somehow the clothes, the practicality and normalness of it, brought it home to me in one fell swoop. Oh god I'm broody.

Don't worry i couldn't believe i could do it (twice) either - Women's bodies are amazing aren't they?

I think when you start yelling 'I can't do this any more' (and ask to go home in my case) is when it all starts happening.

it's going really well.
she finally managed to get a 110/80 BP, so that's good.

the pains are very extreme, making me jump up when they come.
and I've just been for a wee (which seems to be every time i get a pain), and felt soo much pressure on my underbeneathsies.

they're arguing about best before dates now!

Not long now and you will have an actual proper baby in your arms .

It maybe a squatting position would be good for you depending on how far you are dilated and how often your contractions are - it sounds like the right position is when you are sat on the loo! What do the pro's on here thunk? In fact were is Cervix when we need her!
