GoodButNaughty
Just read ASA report on Linden method - they refer to 800 new customers a month!.
PP has 3 breakthrough coaches (from PP website) in their sales team it appears. When I spoke with someone I was the 6th or 7th call at the end of the day. Gives an idea of the number of potential new customers each month.

ConcernedObserver · 11/09/2021 10:18

@Mibb2

"breakthrough" coach and parent on video testimonial, share the same (not very common) name:
Samantha Robins is a long-term proponent of using positive fake reviews to give a false impression of her service. She has an extensive history of manufacturing false testimonials in order to generate business, also of leaving unwarranted negative reviews on competitors websites.

Your example is only the tip of the iceberg unfortunately - dots can be joined between many of the positive reviews and individuals affiliated with her current scheme.

It's astounding that laws & regulations don't seem to exist which would preclude unethical & shady businesses from having unfettered access to the minds of vulnerable children - Or at least regulations & guidelines in place that businesses such as "Peaky Parents" would have to rigidly adhere to.

Comfysofa78 · 11/09/2021 10:42

@Daaxy I completely agree, I joined this completely open minded to get independent points of view. If there was a decent conversation going from Sam or anyone else that seems genuine then they might win more people over. All they have done is prove their lack of empathy (even though they throw that accusation to everyone else often) and avoid any if the key question we are all asking. Instead blaming irrelevant things such as our own mental health, lack of parenting ability, hurting other people and giving out accusations / nasty comments. Yet when you ask for examples there’s no response.

I have no regrets in my decision to avoid them.

The offer is still open to have a reasonable dialogue. Sam has been given an email address to contact mumsnet and arrange to tell her side of the story.

Mibb2 · 11/09/2021 11:11

concerned agree this is the tip of the iceberg. I didn't realise they had left negative reviews with competitors but it doesn't surprise me.

Comfy the awful thing is, they don't need to try and win any of us over as we are all exactly the type of people they don't want as customers, IE people that aren't taken in by their sales pitch. Having said that they have done an awful lot of damage to their reputation. Probably just staying quiet would have been better. But then reputation isn't what's important when you use high ticket coaching academy methods.

SwanShaped · 11/09/2021 11:38

Wow @Daaxy that’s a lot of calls a day. Hopefully a lot of people will do some research first. MN seems to come up a lot at the top of searches and I normally at least look at it, as reviews are known to be fabricated a lot of the time. Not just with Peaky Parents but loads of things.

Comfysofa78 · 11/09/2021 11:40

@Mibb2 I know what you mean, but what they’ve done is spent a lot of time trying to convince us to stop asking these questions due to this bad reputation. It seems to be blamed on us rather than their methods.

If this thread was used constructively by them it probably would not cause them so much stress and actually improve their method and reputation (with a lot of changes and regulation of course). You can tell that Sam/Martin is currently struggling emotionally by the tone of all the sock puppet posts from them but it seems they are unwilling to do anything about it.

I guess they are content with the £100k a month and are not concerned about improving / longevity of their business or the people they are taking money from.

SwanShaped · 11/09/2021 11:44

Well no more fb posts on how much they’re making. It was £95k in May.

Mibb2 · 11/09/2021 11:58

You're right comfy. They seem so desperate and misguided, with their bullying techniques.

Comfysofa78 · 11/09/2021 12:31

They do @Mibb2, maybe that’s why there’s often deflections to us as bad parents or suffering with mental health issues ourselves. You can clearly see they struggle with it, even body language on the videos.

Daaxy · 11/09/2021 13:00

Where was the FB page referring to 95k?

SwanShaped · 11/09/2021 15:00

That is for @Daaxy

Mibb2 · 11/09/2021 15:01

In case anyone isn't on Facebook.

To supplement the above there is also a similarly worded review written by Sam on this website which is a review about the High Ticket Coaching Academy (scroll down to the end of the article to see Sam’s post):

wealthybydefault.com/high-ticket-coaching-academy-review

It confirms that they only recently set up their business (in March 2020!) after their print company failed... this is not ‘years of experience’ is it.

Also read the review under Sam’s from the young couple who are now in debt due to the HTCA programme not having worked for them.

SwanShaped · 12/09/2021 08:49

Oh yeah hasn’t seen that before. The other thing that occurred to me, is that all the name changes have come about in part because of the threads here. Although she did appear to be trying to run an anxiety business before. Shed Anxiety and Clovelly Calm. They don’t have much social media presence tho so not much detail about them. I doubt they’re in debt if they made £100k in a month or so. Only takes 20 people to sign up. No wonder she pissed off about all this.

Mibb2 · 12/09/2021 11:17

So Sam says in that review that they turned over 100K in March 2021. Martin says their first 95K in May 2021. My first thought is that they haven't turned over this amount at all, but are invested in promoting High Ticket Coaching Academy?

They are claiming to cure ADHD again

SwanShaped · 12/09/2021 11:41

Either that or they’ve not very good at maths.

Mibb2 · 12/09/2021 11:42

Here it mentions the formula being "almost hidden for 10 years" but doesn't explain why that's been the case.

Mibb2 · 12/09/2021 11:42

swan that's a distinct possibility too Grin

GoodButNaughty · 12/09/2021 11:44

I suspect it was exactly as they’ve said - £100k in March AND £95k in May... who knows how much they turned over in April however I can guess...

And if this is the case they should be paying VAT I think (I believe coaching is a Vatable service) as they have exceeded the threshold not to be registered.

ConcernedObserver · 12/09/2021 11:46

£100k is only ~20 full paying clients, they could easily have achieved that by heavily advertising on Facebook and high pressure sales calls, unfortunately.

My feeling is that with a chain of failed businesses behind them they would have been that ecstatic at finding themselves a golden goose & finally stuffing cash into their bank accounts that they couldn't help bragging about it.

I note that they've had yet another negative review removed from Trustpilot. Between Facebook's refusal to protect its users from highly questionable schemes, and Trustpilot's pandering to businesses who pay cash to have factual reviews removed, chancers like the Robins can act with impunity.

Mibb2 · 12/09/2021 11:48

This written review has appeared on the PP site. Interesting that they use the word "profiteering"

Your child freedom formula / child anxiety programmes - thread 2
Mibb2 · 12/09/2021 11:54

concerned that's interesting - I wonder if they were able to do that as the review referred to a "different" company?

They have managed to have 3 out of 5 negative reviews removed. 2 of those 3 mentioned pyramid schemes IIRC, which YCFF could legitimately object to and would be grounds to remove them.
