Thanks for this!! I managed to order and have a confirmation email. I phoned my sister but they had gone out of stock before she managed to order.

Lets just keep our fingers crossed that they honour it now!!

Aitch · 24/08/2010 21:00

whatever happens, WELL DONE STRIPEY.

AlCrowley · 24/08/2010 21:00

Damnit. Didn't realise it was a good one. I would have ordered 2. DS is about to move up.

Hopefully we've got one though which will mean we can afford to have one for each car instead of sharing and having to swap the blasted things about all the time.

SpawnChorus · 24/08/2010 21:03

Oh poo.

I've been putting off getting the next stage seat for DD as we;re so skint. This would have been great. I'm feeling v bitter about those eagle eyed, speedy fingered folk who are going to make £££ on ebay Envy

twolittlemonkeys · 24/08/2010 21:04

Hmmm, I bought one as DS2 will need one soon, but haven't received the confirmation order so maybe mine's in limbo somewhere.

Oh well, it'll be a bonus if we get it, and if we don't, I guess they'll refund my money.

knickers0nmyhead · 24/08/2010 21:06

I managed to get two. Deff need them though!

PavlovtheCat · 24/08/2010 21:09

spawn that is what I was thinking. Shame there is not a limit of like 2/3 per order. But then that would suggest Mothercare knew about it and clearly they didn't!

I tried to get one as DD is moving up now but too late Sad oh well, did not have it before, don't have it now.

mamatomany · 24/08/2010 21:11

I would have liked 2 but thought that would be greedy, I bet hope mothercare only honor one per customer and all those ebay listings get bitten on the bum.

knickers0nmyhead · 24/08/2010 21:12

What about those that do genuinely need two?

nappyzoneloveschinesefood · 24/08/2010 21:13

i just got my conf email Smile. Thansk for the tip off...........

I bought the last 32 Grin

MrsDrOwenHunt · 24/08/2010 21:14

I havent got a car, i got one because now i can go out with my friends that do have cars and not worry that the booster seat i do have is not secure enough

specialsmasher · 24/08/2010 21:14

I bought it nearly an hour ago & no confirmation email yet!

Is there no hope? Sad

lal123 · 24/08/2010 21:14

According to HUKD mothercare are only honouring orders less than 5.

smokinaces · 24/08/2010 21:16

I dont begrudge anyone who bought more than 1 and needed them all.

In fact I dont begrudge anyone who bought 2 or more, but only needs one if they sell one to me?!!!! Wink

I dont like those that order 5-10 and stick them on ebay straight away - like with concert tickets etc. Just because I is bitter jealous and all that.

Aitch · 24/08/2010 21:18

surely the ebay ones won't go for that much, though, there will be such a glut of them in a month? so still a bargain to be had, compared to the original price tag.

SpawnChorus · 24/08/2010 21:18

Got to remember I'm no worse off than I was before I read this thread! Grin
SpawnChorus · 24/08/2010 21:21

Actually if anyone who has their finger on the pulse happens to come across a similarly fab car seat deal in the next few months would they give me a heads up?

4andnotout · 24/08/2010 21:21

Gutted i missed out :( DD3 needs a stage 2 car seat and we were actually going shopping for one at the weekend. Arse :(

EddieIzzardismyhero · 24/08/2010 21:22

I ordered two cos I needed two, have two children under two!

Can't believe we might actually get them though - what's HUKD?

They should only deliver 5 if the purchaser can present all 5 children on the doorstep.

smokinaces · 24/08/2010 21:26

Spawn, our time will come - in 4 weeks they will put them back in stock at £9 god damn it!!

DS1 is 4, starts school next week and is rather needing to come out of his 5 point harness. It does still fit him though, so I have until Christmas time ish to find a good deal Grin

StealthPolarBear · 24/08/2010 21:31

aargh missed this!

Waswondering, I'm not expecting Mothercare to honour this - they will lose thousands. I would imagine that when they discover the mistake tomorrow morning we'll all be getting emails to say no deal Sad.

Hope I'm wrong!
