it has come to my attention that more people than ever are planning camping holidays as the recession starts to bite. holidays in britain are all the rage, so i hear. i have also noticed the proliferation of camping threads the moment the sun shows its face.
i would like to point out that camping is horrible. cold, uncomfortable, full of creepy crawlies, tents fall down in the wind (if you can get them up in the first place without commencing divorce proceedings), campsites are full of noisy yobs who don't keep their dogs under control and if they aren't rowing all night they're singing or playing didgeridoos.
i would especially like to point out that the gower is quite possibly the worst place in the world to camp. all the sites are sloping and lumpy and prone to flooding and possibly monsoon damage, especially on bank holiday weekends.
save yourself finding out the hard way, just take my word for it, you really wouldn't like it.
i thank your for your attention
