It's too far ahead to be a firm forecast & could change significantly between now and then.

I know. Doesn't stop me being annoyed about it though 😂

I'll just be happy if it's dry.

That's all I want. I don't want to pay to sleep in a soggy field.

Sorry to jump in. But is your half term next week? I think ours is week after. I'm questioning myself now though 😕

The country needs rain. Crops and animals are important

Illyna · 14/05/2025 12:30

It reminds me of the end of the first lockdown. Lockdown had glorious weather and almost as soon as restrictions were lifted the heavens opened. I met up with family for the first time in months for a walk and we ended up wading through puddles.

It's sod's law!

Yes! We have 2 big outdoor events, it's been glorious for weeks and weeks and then... ugh!

Blackcountrychik83 · 14/05/2025 12:41

Same as last school holidays it rained almost the whole week and yet was glorious for weeks before and every week since !!!

Just like it can be 25c between 9 and 2.45pm and then it chucks it down when you’re on your way to fetch the kids from school !!! It’s like the weather knows lol . A fun sponge for kids !

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 14/05/2025 13:00

Im quite bitter that it can be relied upon to puss with rain on the occasion of any bank holiday weekend. So YANBU.

Why so rude? It's the truth.

It may be the truth, but dragging everything down and ruining a lighthearted thread with doomsday bullshit is what a bore does.

Every time we are free to go for a weekend camp the temperature drops by 10 degrees.

Radiatorvalves · 14/05/2025 17:55

Thinking back to my o levels and the kids gcses and A levels, it’s nearly always nice for the run up to exam time and exams (ie now) and crap for half term and the end of exams. Hopefully this year will be different….

Summergarden · 14/05/2025 18:02

Ruddy typical isn’t it?! Rainstorms tend to be very short lived, so hopefully it will just be a bit unsettled for the first day or two and then settle down to dry days. Fingers crossed for you.

TokyoSushi · 14/05/2025 19:11

*Whispers It’s drying up, at least in Cheshire it is!

How was the comment doomsday bullshit?

CandyCane457 · 14/05/2025 19:41

Yes, fuming! It’s stunning this week and next whilst we’re in school, then suddenly the DAY we finish it is forecast rubbish. I really hope it changes!
