We're going Eurocamping in France for the first time since there were only 2 of us; previously they were motorbike/credit card/toothbrush types of trips but now we have a 4 year old extra I suspect we need to be a bit more organised.

Do any of you Camping experts have lists of equipment/stuff that you take that you would be prepared to share ?

One last question, do they provide any coat hangers ?

This would be for the cocktail frocks, would it, Twink?

Janh · 17/07/2004 23:04

Sorry, being flippant. I know when we had a Eurocamp tent hol there was a hanging rail between 2 of the bedrooms and I hung girls' dresses there but can't remember whose hangers they were.

Hey - I know - ring them and ask!

mummysurfer · 18/07/2004 00:34

we had about 12 coathangers in total

another thing to take - sharp knives cos the 2 there wouldn't cut butter

codswallop · 18/07/2004 00:35

a bath mat, friend said

codswallop · 18/07/2004 00:37

they provide a caftieret tho?
am real coffe freak?

(oops did i use that word?!!)

Twink · 18/07/2004 00:42

Thanks again !

Indeed Jan, do you not dress for dinner whilst abroad ?

I read that these mobile things have a 'wardrobe' so I thought I might break the habit of a lifetime and not live out of the suitcase, on the other hand....

I've been shamed by my wonderful s-i-l who does the whole tissue paper thing and always looks stunning but I guess I'll never match up to her so it's probably better not to try

Slinky · 18/07/2004 00:53

Do they have cafetieres in Keycamp caravans? I can't remember.

I have added my cafetiere to my "stuff to be packed" pile in our bedroom - DH keeps tutting and muttering that "we're only going to France for a fortnight, not Outer Mongolia for 10 years"

codswallop · 18/07/2004 00:54

tsk men slink- thye dont get it

part of going on hol is bringing back piles on unworn clothes that depite being clena you wtill want to wash again!

Slinky · 18/07/2004 00:56

oooh I do that Coddy

mummysurfer · 18/07/2004 15:45

yes, defo, a cafetairte, on display on your Welcome tray.

yes, coddy, towelling bathmat. sorry yes someone mentioned this earlier down and i took an old hand towel which went in the bin at the end of the week. the floor gets soaking as the shower door opens out over. a concertina type door would be better.

codswallop · 18/07/2004 15:47
