Pre lockdown bridesmaid dress!

MindTheBumps · 07/06/2021 09:46

I have to get into my bridesmaid dress for my brothers wedding. The wedding was postponed from last year so after a couple of lockdowns I have put on a few pounds.

I have about 11lbs to loose and 9 weeks to do it so I think it should be doable!

Aiming for 1lb a week and then a last ditch 1200 calories for two weeks beforehand.

Just starting the thread for motivation and accountability.

Aiming for cals in of 1650 and cals out of 2050 each day roughly.

Anyone fancy a pound a week hand hold?

Finished yesterday in a deficit. Todays meals planned out and ready to go.

Yesterdays deficit was 420 - gonna keep on chipping away!

Fantastic start!

dollyboots · 09/06/2021 18:38

Oh you’ve got this! If you feel like it’s starting to slip, think about how fab you’re gonna feel on the day in that dress. But it’s not going to slip.

sar302 · 09/06/2021 18:57

I had to do this after first lockdown 😬 I found low carb evening meals seemed to do the trick quite nicely. good luck!

MindTheBumps · 09/06/2021 19:59

Thanks for the support! I know I can't let them down so have to focus. It's a nice easy target (supposedly)

@sar302 did you make it into the dress?

I am exercising a fair amount so should do it.

sar302 · 09/06/2021 20:25

I did! It was a little more "fitted" than I would have liked 😬 but it was fine for the day!

MindTheBumps · 10/06/2021 10:45

Well done. You are my inspiration.

Yesterdays deficit was 472cals so I am holding steady.

Trying to take it really slowly because I have tried really hard to build some muscle and don't want to lose it!

Today was week 2 weigh in (Started the thread after the diet)

So:
Week One -1.6
Week Two - 2.6 Total - 4.2

Cancellingadvice · 11/06/2021 09:14

Well done you. Keep it up

MindTheBumps · 11/06/2021 09:41

Thanks @Cancellingadvice Smile

tiny deficit yesterday as I was starving! A deficit ass the same though.

Started the day with a 488 calorie burn at a HIIT class - got to keep on track!

You're doing great! Am rooting for you

dollyboots · 14/06/2021 21:51

How’s it going, Bumps?

MindTheBumps · 16/06/2021 08:43

Hey thanks for checking in 😊

Weigh day was this morning and it's another 1lb off so I am still on target!

Week one 1.6
Week two 2.6
Week three 1.2

Total loss so far 5.4 with 8.6lbs to go.

That's just over half a stone in 8 weeks, seems doable!

(I am just guessing how much weight to make the dress fit Grin) soon as that zip goes up I am done.

OP posts:
dollyboots · 16/06/2021 11:27

At least wait until the wedding breakfast before you celebrate that zip though Grin

MindTheBumps · 16/06/2021 13:52

haha if I get into the dress I will be proposing a toast to the zip at the wedding breakfast!

Well I am having a stressful few days relationship wise but every cloud has a silver lining and as of this morning I am half way there!

7lb off 7lb to go.

OP posts:
dollyboots · 18/06/2021 14:26

Sorry you’re having a stressful time, but let’s take those silver linings whenever we can. Fab news!

sar302 · 18/06/2021 21:53

Nicely done!! Keep going!

dollyboots · 26/06/2021 13:49

Waitrose accidentally put a pack of cheese and onion sausage rolls in with our order, so of course I have stuffed my fat face.
So I thought I’d check in here and see if you were faring any better?

MindTheBumps · 30/06/2021 20:27

Well had a terrible week and head firmly in the sand regards to weighing.

I think I am due on (I tend to eat everything in sight)

Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow.

You’ve still got a loss. If you’re not feeling it, eat to maintain until you’re ready again. Period hunger is like no other. You’ll get it back together.

MindTheBumps · 07/07/2021 08:59

well My period arrived and is DRAGGING on... I have PCOS so periods are so unpredictable.

I am ready to get back on track but have put 2lb back on (could have been much worse)

So 9st 5lb again, 5 weeks to go.... I can do this!

How are you getting on @dollyboots?

OP posts:
dollyboots · 07/07/2021 16:50

Hello @MindTheBumps - glad you’re back on track! 2lb isn’t too bad at all.

I lost a stone but I’ve been diddling around for a bit. Haven’t put any on though, just maintaining and feeling OK. Will be settling in the for next chunk soon. Wedding in December, so there’s a goal!

MindTheBumps · 07/07/2021 19:47

Is it your wedding? Congratulations! Now that is something to aim for.

Yea 2lb is no sweat, just need to stop messing about now, I know how it works just have to actually do it.

dollyboots · 07/07/2021 23:56

It is! Thank you! Very very small event, but still want to feel nice in a frock.

We can do this!
