The teacher pushed my child

Hi, a teacher used abusive language and then pushed my child out of her classroom in front of my daughter’s friends. My daughter then argued with the teacher for pushing her. My daughter is now suspended from school because the head teacher did not believe her or her 2 friends. The school cameras cover outside the classroom but not inside the classroom. I have contacted the police and they said that they will visit me in 2 days. My daughter has been upset and been crying ever since, because it was her last day in year 8 in school and they were going to have a party. I feel that the staff at school are covering for the teacher’s behaviour to make they school not look bad.
Im just confused, how school has been very unfair with my child.

Didn't happen.

berksandbeyond · 19/07/2024 07:36

Didn’t happen. Your precious DD is lying, and so are her friends

thatstakingalongtimetoboil · 19/07/2024 07:37

I hope you are charged with wasting police time.

StillProcrastinating · 19/07/2024 07:45

I would bet that your daughter had said or done something rude to someone in the classroom, been told to leave, refused and argued back, and been ushered out.

you’re not helping her if you assume she’s telling the truth here. if she thinks she can get away with it, she will continue and likely escalate .

kids massively exaggerate- especially when they’re trying to cover themselves.

What’s her behaviour like normally ? Does she get behaviour points ? What did her year 8 report say? If it’s normally excellent, ask the school about what happened.

Timeforanewnam · 19/07/2024 07:45

Oh yes , I’m sure your daughter was just sat silently polishing her halo 😇 and the evil teacher shoved her over . Probably kicked her too 😂😂😂

may I be the first to suggest a bout of home schooling? It could be great for everyone involved.

itispersonal · 19/07/2024 07:46

So OPs DD was either somewhere she shouldn't have been or had been excluded from the classroom for poor behaviour and the OP is upset because of the teacher! If DD has left the classroom when asked she wouldn't have had to be "pushed" or escorted out. No mentioned of this from the OP just their DD is in tears since because she was "pushed" and had "hurty words" said to her!

And we wonder why teachers are leaving in droves!

itispersonal · 19/07/2024 07:51

Also what a shame OP your DD couldn't behave on the last day of term

ineedtogwtoutbeforeitatoohot · 19/07/2024 07:53

Oh no your poor girl crying because she's missed the party poor thing. How about tell her to behave herself In school then !!!!

BiscuityBoyle · 19/07/2024 07:54

Hanging around for the full story.

BiggerBoat1 · 19/07/2024 07:55

Didn’t happen!
Your daughter is probably upset because now you’ve steamed in and involved the police and she knows her lie will be exposed.

WhatNoRaisins · 19/07/2024 07:59

OP you need to have a long think about where this is all going to lead for your DD. One day she'll be an adult in the real world and it's not like school. Her bosses and her peers won't bend over backwards to keep her engaged like we expect teachers to do. If she plays up at work she'll just get fired.

For her sake I hope the police give her a good talking to about her decisions and behaviour.

Aishah231 · 19/07/2024 07:59

I imagine that your daughter was asked to leave the classroom. Refused was rude then the teacher tried to usher her out. When teacher touched her she shouted look they are pushing me. I've seen this sort of thing happen a lot. The teacher should know better than to touch a child in any way but it's hardly crime of the century. I''m guessing - but so are you. You weren't there I'd be inclined to assume your daughter was being a brat

AllstarFacilier · 19/07/2024 08:00

If she’d been pushed out of the door, then end of that would have been caught on CCTV. As others say, she hasn’t been sent out of the room for no reason and the school will have investigated this.
It’s also not unusual for a group of friends to lie about something together.

Orangeblossom84 · 19/07/2024 08:02

Yeah that didn’t happen the way your daughter said it did!

SD1978 · 19/07/2024 08:03

I assume your child had been asked to leave the classroom, and refused? There is obviously a huge proceeding story, and without that it isn't really ossicle to make any comment

MrsBungle · 19/07/2024 08:06

Was she injured? Phoning the police is a massive waste of their time.

bossybloss · 19/07/2024 08:07

OP where are you?? We are waiting for the full story !

andyourpointiswhat · 19/07/2024 08:07

Funny how it’s usually the brattiest kids who have parents who can’t believe they could ever do wrong.

Ellie1015 · 19/07/2024 08:10

What was your dd suspended for? I would be more concerned with that.

dippy567 · 19/07/2024 08:10

Funny, when my child gets detentions at school, according to him, they are never his fault either - he's always just sitting there quietly minding his own business and out of absolutely no-where bam, detention for talking/mucking around/being disruptive....

Edingril · 19/07/2024 08:10

OK so what are missing out?

MigGirl · 19/07/2024 08:14

So the big question is why did the teacher ask her to leave the classroom in the first place? Where is the rest of the story? You need to speak to the school and find out what happened.

With any luck for the teacher it was actually caught on camera.

LaMarschallin · 19/07/2024 08:15

Surely this is a wind up?
Calling the police for God's sake.
And who picks a username that starts "Nazi"?
Bet they haven't any other posts by them here.

Avocadont77 · 19/07/2024 08:15

If I had a pound for every time a student accused me of pushing them, I’d be able to leave teaching and never work again.
