wind or vomiting - it seems i have to choose!

DD has been on gaviscon for about 10 days now - it has hugely helped the vomiting but given her awful wind which disrupts her (and consequently, my) sleep all night. do i stop thegaviscon and let her suffer the reflux or carry on and she has to put up with the wind? she looks so distressed trying to get it out.
would giving her a reduced dose of gaviscon do any good? my dr wasn't very helpful.

hello again, everyone - how is it going for yuo all? The domperidone is working for DD in as much as it is stopping the acid but the wind is horrendous and is making things very difficult, particularly at night. we are bot hgetting hardly any sleep. and she's still constipated and wont take water!!

hope you folks are having a better time!

Right, I am going back to doctors. The gaviscon has helped the vomiting, but not the screaming and I really feel like he is in pain. He often cries during feeds or arches his back afetr feeding. I think the gaviscon makes his wind worse too.

It hasn't constipated him completely, but he does have to strain a lot!

Think I might ask for something else.

roslily, sounds just like my DD. she has been much better since we stopped the gaviscon and gave domperidone. also, it is only 1.2ml several times a day so is much easier to get her to take it. she is still quite windy but hardly any vomiting and much less acid and therefore less pain.

good luck, let us know how you get on.
