Stressed and breast feeding!!!!

Hi there. Where to start? Ds is 4 weeks to day and i want to give up!! which would be alright if i didn't desperatly want to breast feed! I'm worried what he's getting, about his latch, has he got nipple confusion from dummy. I'm just getting negative thoughts every day and can't get rid of them. To top it all i don't have supportive partner! I know that i need to belive but i just can't shift bad bits. Only actual problem i have is ds will not feed from 1 breast for more than 10 minutes and then refuses to go back on, but will be swapped, i think its to do with flow but not sure. Maternity assistant thinks he's not comfy cos i don't use any support? Anyone have any ideas at all, about anything!!

HI THERE. TO EVERY 1 THAT POSTED OR READ THIS THREAD I'M GLAD TO SAY I'M FEELING MUCH BETTER THIS WEEK. DH SEEMS TO HAVE GOT THE MESSAGE THAT I'LL STOP WHEN I'M GOOD AND READY. HAD DS WEIGHED TUE AND HE'S PUT ON oz A DAY ON SINCE THU SO NOW KNOW FOR SURE I'M DOIN THE BEST THING. THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE, AND IF ANY1 HAS ANY MORE I WOULD BE GLAD TO HEAR IT. XX

Jord, that's great news, and the only advice you need is to continue doing what you are doing 'cos you and your baby are doing just fine

Glad to hear you are feeling better and the weight gain is great too The La Leche League do a leaflet for dads about breastfeeding and new babies, let me know if you would like me to send you one for your DH as I will be going to a meeting tomorrow and could pick you one up.

flubdub it looks like you can order them from the LLL book sales website (which is currently down or I would link) but not download. They currently retail at 50p If you email me at e underscore 1375 at hotmail dot com with your address I will send you one.
