When did your periods start again (when BFing)

I am currently BFing DS aged 10mo a couple of times a day. No sign of aunt flo.

I BFed DD until 8mo and my periods returned exactly 4 weeks later (i was just expressing once a day at the end for a bottle so producing very little).

Do you think it's likely that aunt flo won't visit until i completely stop BF again? It's just that we are wanting to try for a baby in a few months time, but i want to BF a bit longer. I also came off the mini-pill 3 weeks ago so waiting for that to wear off too.

Anyone find the same thing happened with DC1 and DC2 or could things be different this time?

When dd was 6months.

Interestingly, about two weeks after she started getting 'food'.

BFing my dd 12 months a few times a day and not a sign of "aunty flo" yet. Beginning to miss her actually. I find that I get the moods and increased choc appetite but have nothing to show for it!! No contraception, not sure if that makes a difference though.

Dd2 is 12m and no sign here. I cut right down with dd1 at 10/11m (in order to conceive dd2!) and got af just before her first birthday.

my pal just got hers back at 2yrs 6 mnths- still bf a bit but not much. i bf for 2 yrs but got AF back at 6 months.

8 months here for dd and I bf until she was 18 months - though only 1 -2 a day after about 10 months. I have a friend who said it came back sooner for her second, so I suppose everyone is different. Maybe mini pill has an impact?

Came back at 9 months when I was still bfing around 7-11 times a day.

Oh so timely - flo arrived yesterday WITH A VENGEANCE - oh the pain.....

DD 14 months, have dropped from 4-5 feeds a day to 1-2 a day over the last 3 weeks, so I wonder if this has anything to do with it. No pill here.
With DS finished BF @ 12 mths, period back @ 15 mths (for three months, then got pg).

When DD was 21 weeks (she's now 24 weeks), still exclusively bf (no solids yet and no formula either, also no EBM). I got a shock! I wonder whether I'll get another in a week though as since then she's been a foodmonster, eating nonstop!

DS was 8 months. I was still BF day and night, so it came as a bit of a shock.

DS1 it would have reappeared when he was around 9 and a half months, however, I fell pregnant on first ovulation so no period between them.
DS2 is nearly 11 months and nothing yet.
It's lovely, over 3 years without a period.

DS was 6 months(during first family holiday away)
DD1 was 8 months
DD2 was 16months and only after her night feeding was down to once a night!!

returned a month after with all bar DD3....I fell for DS1 before a period even go the chance to return!

My periods did not wait til stopping breastfeeding.

ds1 - 4 months after birth, was pg 3 months later, while still breast-feeding

dd - 6 weeks after birth, while exclusively breast-feeding,

ds2 - will know soon I guess as he is only 3 weeks old at the moment, I am not sure whether to expect period in 3 weeks or more than that, am breastfeeding, but know that will not stop my periods coming back!

Ds1 fed till he 5 months, periods returned 3 months later
Dd1 fed till she was 2 months periods returned 2 months later
Dd2 fed till she was 6 months periods returned 3 months later
Ds2 is still feeding at 7 months and still no periods.

dd1 - bf till 1 year, af started at 9 months
dd2 still bf, 9 months - no sign yet! long may it last
maybe has something to do with how often you are feeding -dd is still 5 x a day.

with dd i got pregnant 9 months after her birth, no period in between.

with ds they came back at just over 12 months.

both times fertility returning seemed to come a few weeks after they stopped feeding during the night

ds1 about 9 or 10 months, conceived ds2 about 6 weeks later
ds2 - had one random period about 2m ago when I ran out of mini-pill for a week, but nothing since

DD1 - BF for 12 months periods back 4 weeks after lochia stopped

DD2 - BF for 15 months periods back after 11 months

Breast fed for 18 months. Periods returned after four months. But please!!!!!!! No more AF!!!! Or Aunty Flo!!!!Period. It's your frigging period.
