i've read on here that it's being pregnant, rather than bfing, that makes boobs sag

i know this isn't scientific, but in my group of friends, the only ones whose boobs are still up close and personal are those who didn't bfeed, or bfed for a couple of weeks only. the rest of us have lost any fullness/pertness

and -- both dsses favoured my right boob. it is now softer than the left. they were the same as each other before

so -- convince me

oh, and btw, my boobs didn't get any bigger in pregnancy, only once my milk had come in

am i the exception that proves the rule? bf for 2 weeks, looked fab when my milk came in. they were so huge i looked like i had a small waist 3 days after having a baby!

then stopped bf and became the owner of proper old lady boobs, wrinkly texture and everything, and a decidedly wobbly waist

they have recovered a bit since, but DH saw fit to comment the other day that i need to do some exercise on them "before they sag permanently"

in a recent study it was proven that preg causes saggy boobs and not bf.

Did you hear what the woman said on How to look good naked about her boobs? Doh

Yep it is defo pregnancy that causes it not bfing...simply because being pregnant causes your breasts to fully mature. IIRC a lot of fat is replaced with milk stuff during pregnancy and during the time you bf...and when you stop bfing your breasts gradually shrink due to the milk stuff not being needed & then it takes time for the fat to build up again.

DS is almost weaned and I've noticed a big change in the last couple of weeks as my boobs have shrank. They are slightly saggier than they were 4/5 years ago...but still fairly ok. It's quite nice having them feel a little floppier tbh - they've felt like boulders since I got pg with DS in 2003 & haven't been very comfortable!

TBH though I wouldn't mind what they looked like - they performed the task they were made for just fine & I can make them look nice when I'm dressed by wearing a lovely bra...and DH doesn't care what they look like when I'm not wearing one as long as he gets to play with them . With the increase in breast cancer that seems to be happening these days I am just happy & thankful to still have them, whatever they look like.
