Breast pumps - recommendations

I’m hoping you can help me out with the minefield that is breast pumps!

I’d love wearable but have heard they aren’t as good as electric pumps.

Please could you recommend which you preferred?!

What will you be using the pump for? As in occasional express a feed or more regular?

I have a Tommee Tippee electric pump and a wearable cheap one from Amazon, both fine for what I needed but not for an exclusive pumper, so have a think about the purpose and whether a haakaa would be a starting point.

I loved the Medela Freestyle handsfree one, which was just as effective as the hospital-grade Medela one I had before (had a preemie, so took detailed notes on what I pumped and they consumed). I despised the Ardo ones, only got 2/3 of what I got with Medela.

I also bought a bunch of replacement sets of bottles and cups to ease the sanitising pressure, which was well worth the money.

Is baby here? If not I'd wait until they are and you've fed for a couple of weeks. Go along to the local BFing Groups whilst your PG, if you can and talk to the Mums there about pumping and how they find it

Another recommendation for the Medela Freestyle flex. Also the hands free pumping bra was a game changer as I could put it all on and carry on with whatever I was doing. I pumped pretty much exclusively for a year with this and it was great. Replaced parts as needed like other commenter. A few of my friends had the Evie that goes into your bra and it didn’t seem worth the money as they were always breaking.

the freestyle flex is expensive but I got mine second hand on eBay, basically new for £90 so worth having a look there @Pippin18 good luck

I’ve just got the Momcozy m5, it’s super gentle but really effective & it’s a wearable one. I also got a pump bra and it fits really comfortably in there. I pump one side while baby feeds on the other & also do pumping both sides after her first morning feed while she naps.
its comfy, not painful at all, easy to put together etc and would really recommend so far.
i try to pump once a day at least as I want a stash in the freezer x
