That’s it really. Really curious as to what most mums did with regards to feeding

Breast fed for three months each time with no problems at all but was fed up of two hourly feeds day and night as was going back to work and was exhausted. Also psychologically needed a break from it, as selfish as that sounds.
Swapped to formula, all slept much much better, regained some sense of control and my sanity.
Now they're 19 and 17 and as fit and healthy as you like. When they're stuffing their faces with takeaways I wonder what on earth I felt guilty about.

@mummyh2016 you're right, you are pedantic. Get a life.

Breastfed hard to start with but then it gets easier and loads cheaper

Breastfeeding is also pretty good for lazy people as you get to sit a lot, no bottles to wash and sterilise, and you can sit there and watch tv

I have a very good life thanks. I have no issue with breastfeeding for 2.5 years (I actually think good on you), in fact a friend of mine is still breastfeeding her nearly 5 year old. But if she tried to tell me she exclusively breastfed for nearly 5 years I'd laugh in her face as it's untrue because no baby or child over 6 months will only have consumed breast milk! But I suppose breastfed for 2.5 years doesn't have the same ring to it as exclusively breastfed for 2.5 years does it.

@mummyh2016 you knew exactly what I meant and the fact I said I was proud of it triggered you in some way so you thought you'd bring me down a peg. I will edit to 'exclusively breastfed until weaning and then continued to breastfeed until 2.5.' Better?

Breast.

Much better.
And I wasn't triggered by your comment, I'm perfectly happy with the way I feed my children and have no regrets. Some people who are having a tough time might be triggered and that's why I called you out on it. No point modifying the facts is there.

Breast to begin and, because of a medical crisis caused by poor health care, formula. The same people who caused the medical crisis treated me like a piece of shit fir switching to formula.

Beast fed my first for 2.5 years and my second for 3 years.

I haven’t got anything against formula but breastfeeding was always my intention.
