POLL: when did your period return whilst bf?

am kind of eager for mine to come back, ive been bf a year now and we are down to 2 feeds a day.
anyone waited much longer than that?

after the next baby was born

period came back 4 months after ds born, while I was still exclusively bfing..

oh shut up all of you!!! how come mine came back straight away??? I was looking forward to a break at least in that dept.

oh no I don't think the period and sex drive are connected. weren't in my case anyway. I think it came back once I stopped being so knackered.

ds2 was 20 months when mine came back

Mine came back when ds was 8 months old, and we were doing about 3-4 feeds in the day with none in the night.

bf 10 months with ds1&ds 2 and they came back at 9mths, bf dd 14mths and they came back at 10mths. just about when i went down to 2 feeds a day each time. would rather they hadn't bothered coming back after dc3- got no use for em any more as think 3lo's in 5 yrs is certainly my bit done for the survival of the species.
PS and right on whoever said volume- went up after each child AARGH! is super-mega-dooper-ooper-plus tampon invented? sorry.

dd1 - 18months
dd2 - 12 months

Mine came back at about 4.5 months with DS1 and DD - which is when they started weaning basically and naturally reduced their milk feeds slightly.

With DS2 - currently nearly 7 months, there is no sign of them returning, probably 'cos he has 9 BFs every 24 hours, on top of his 4 solid meals

Am I the only 1 who didn't get a break at all???

I bled for 2 weeks after the birth, had 2 weeks off, then my periods started again, as regular as clockwork. I was sooo disappointed!

I got pg again before they came back - DS was 15 mo old then. With DD, she stopped bf at about 11 mo & they came back about a month later.

splishsplosh, that's not fair!!!!!

8 months and with ssecond 5 months

6 weeks with dd1 (not breastfeeding though) and 6 months with dd2 - 4 weeks ago yesterday and hasnt yet arrived this month. [sceptical] How long does it take to regulate? Still feeding 4 times per day for 4 days per week, 2 days twice per day and 1 day 3 times (due to work).

10 months for both dd and ds.

ds - 10 months
dd - 1 week felt totally ripped off!!! am at your one year stint at no periods!!!

4 weeks with both.
