POLL: when did your period return whilst bf?

am kind of eager for mine to come back, ive been bf a year now and we are down to 2 feeds a day.
anyone waited much longer than that?

After 11 mos. Was still BFing 3 or 4 times a day.

About a year - 13 months maybe. Was still BFing at the time but was down to only a couple a day.
It was so bad I was practically housebound - not from a pain factor, that was fine, but just sheer VOLUME. My god.

First time - about 8 months, was still bf, down to 1 -2 feeds a day. Second time 12 months, again still bf, but DD2 having more feeds (and is still going, just turned 3, sigh) Both times, very heavy and irregular which they never were before.

ds1 - around 9mo, when I stopped feeding.
ds2 - 13mo, I was still night feeding then. We went on holiday when he was 16mo and I feed constantly, I then had an 8-week cycle, and am still not regular. I stopped feeding him last week.

with DD1 @ 16 months with a vengence whilst i was on hols. Completely unexpected and unprepaired.

Still not with dd2 and hopefully not for a long time as she is only 6 months!

wow! this generated a lot of interest!
im feeling a little fearful now as it seems a really heavy one is a common experience. i carry around a sanitary towel in my bag, have done for the last 7 mths, and think i should swap it for a less knackered one! but im trying to be prepared!

oh and DID anyone get their sex drive back with their periods going normal? have i totally made it up?

Oh CS I didn't know you'd stopped now - who will I have to compare notes with?!

About 9 months with dd, when I was still feeding about 7 or 8 times a day, but she'd just started going through at night.

When lo was about 9 months, and had just dropped down to 2 feeds a day...so maybe it will be soon for you!

DS1, it was 11mo and he was still feeding at night. Was preggers again 3 months later. Very definite return of sex drive

DS2 is nearly 11mo and no sign yet , although missing shagging . Not as much as DH though

With DS, around 8 weeks (I was in denial until I'd had my third period at 16 weeks).

They haven't come back yet with DD and she's nearly 12 weeks! Yay!
