What did your toddler actually eat today?

One weetabix with a handful of the aldi granolay stuff and whole milk.
3 small bites of half a piece of brown toast, licked all the butter off though.
1 ikea child's cup of homemade smoothie (banana, small handful of frozen "summer fruits", spoon of greek yoghurt, milk)
Half a rich tea biscuit
Tuna pasta (about a dozen tubes) and half an avacado
Half a small scone with jam + jam licked from the other uneaten half
Mini box of raisins
Satsuma
Small apple with just the core take out
Beef mince pasta bake (poor meal plannning double pasta I know!) he ate some of the pasta (8ish bits), a small amount of the mince (2 teaspoons maybe) 2 or 3 pieces of carrot.
A slice of garlic bread.
He's 2yrs 4months. Very very active. Seems like a lot of food now I write it all down.
Anyone care to share what their DC ate today? I'm not trying to start a competitive wholemeal Quinoa and organic kale list just interested in volume. I saw one of those portion size posters in the sure start and it made me worry. The portions were tiny.

My 2.11 yr old ate:

  • two weetabix and a massive bowl of hoops with whole milk
  • a big plate of roast chicken, carrots, broccoli, toasties and gravy with cranberry sauce
  • a nectarine with a scoop of ice cream and a mini meringue
  • a mini-milk ice lolly
  • a Babybel and some cheddar, three crackers and some grapes
  • a big bowl of natural yoghurt with jam
  • a small slice of homemade (not by me!) chocolate cake

He drank a bit of water, no milk today though.

You win some, you lose some!!

14 months:

  • 1 weetabix, bottle of milk
  • organix flapjack
  • 1/2 a 1-slice hummus sandwich, couple slices of banana, couple organix carrot puffs (didn't eat much as was overtired)
  • random snacks before dinner - slice of cheese, biscotti
  • tiny jacket potato, baked beans, cheese (didn't eat much potato), banana, Ella's smoothie pouch.

He's insanely active, feel I should have offered him more food! He's quite skinny. Sometimes he would eat all day if I let him, he didn't complain or act like he was hungry though.

This thread is actually really reassuring, was a bit worried about DS' spitting things out/licking things off/throwing things of floor habits! Seems they're totally normal Grin

2y 4m:

Cup of full fat milk first thing.

Breakfast: some nibbles of marmite toast

Snack: some Naked strawberry and cream snack things

Lunch: bite of flatbread, a lot of hummus licked off carrot stick, bite of a carrot stick, 2 Pringles, bite of pork pie, bite of olive, bite of marinated chicken breast. Whole piece of chocolate cake HmmGrin

Dinner: small portion of lasagne. Ice cream for pudding.

Cup of milk after bath and before bed.

Not a very healthy day. Need to do a food shop! She eats anything, but only eats little bits of everything.

2.5 year old DS ate:-

2 bowls of shreddies
Half a bowl of Rice Krispies
Couple of bites of DH's toast

Some Baguette, homemade lamb kofta, peas, onion

Whole punnet of blueberries whilst walking round sainsburys

Pasta with veggies and tomato sauce (he didn't eat much of this, maybe about 15 bits of pasta and 7ish spoons of veg/sauce).
Greek yoghurt and watermelon for pudding

He doesn't usually have so much for breakfast, but he was obviously hungry today, and he doesn't normally have as much for lunch, but will have a much bigger dinner. Generally I think he eats a lot, but he is active and is on 98th centile for height and hovers around 65-70th for weight, so tall and slim.

He is only just starting to like eggs, but it's still a bit hit and miss, sometimes he will eat scrambled eggs others he declares he doesn't like it. I'd love him to consistently eat them as they are great for breakfast and a quick and easy lunch or dinner.

I like this thread. Normally threads like these are very quinoa and kale, and I'm always too embarrassed to contribute.

My 2.3 yr old had

1 slice of toast with butter and (homemade!) jam.
1/2 a weetabix
1 pack of baby crisps
1 banana
2 bread rolls with butter
A few crackers
Toddler sized bowl of strawberries
About 1/2 a pint of milk Blush
Digestive biscuit
Few bites of cake from my plate
Toddler sized bowl of plain pasta with frozen mixed veg stirred in (cooked obviously!)

That doesn't look too bad written down. Day to day it feels like he never eats anything apart from biscuits and other junk.

2.5yr old DD is incredibly fussy/has sensory issues around food (and tbh it's amazing she eats what she does), so her diet is awful but improving. Rest assured it can't be much worse than:

Few Frosties nicked from DH
1 bowl of porridge with pureed fruit
Bit of toast (shared with me)
Breadstick/crackers/'toddler biscuits'
Raisins
More toast for lunch
Couple of crisps (again nicked from DH)
Chicken & chips for dinner
Fromage frais
Bedtime milk
Water during the day

She's healthy and active. Just won't eat anything vaguely healthy except the raisins...

My 20 month old had:

Bowl of weatabix and a cup of milk
A boiled egg with soldiers and more milk
Some blueberries

A cheese, mushroom and spinach omelette (I didn't realise at that point she'd already had an egg for breakfast as I was asleep then!)
A Greek yoghurt with passion fruit stuff

A mini box of raisins
A banana
A couple of mini breadsticks

Another cup of milk

Peas and broccoli with cheese on toast (don't ask)

More milk

She's got a tooth coming in hence all the soft food and lots of milk. She normally drinks less milk and eats more!

Anyone need to feel better?

My 22mo, who is normally a good eater, is going through a bad patch due to teething at the moment! Here goes:

Refused to eat porridge, Cheerios or toast for breakfast.
Had a yoghurt before his nap.
Woke up to scrambled eggs and avocado on toast, picked at the egg and left the rest.
We were doing baking so he had a brownie in the afternoon. Blush He normally would have had a banana instead.
Dinner we had pesto pasta salad which he normally likes, he picked out the cherry toms and left the rest. Tried to give him some fruit after but he just played with it.

He had diluted apple juice to drink, whole milk before his nap and bedtime.

18 mo DD ate:

Breakfast - 1.5 weetabix with milk and a banana
Snack - 2 blueberry wafers (I know they're for younger babies but she loves them!)
Lunch - 3/4 of a peanut butter & banana sandwich, small yoghurt, fruit (strawberries, blueberries and cherries) and a small biscuit
Snack - fruit smoothie
Dinner - 4 spoonfuls lentil & sweet potato stew before throwing the rest on the floor Angry Then she had the last quarter of her sandwich from lunch, a babybel and a small pot of custard
She is a bit hit & miss with eating at the moment because she's teething.
