Here's a fresh thread!

Let's start by introducing us/babies again Grin

Damnit, DS just woke up :( DP is trying to soothe him but I'm guessing I'll have to feed him back to sleep. I cannot take another night of him waking up six times.

Cariad007 · 11/09/2014 22:26

Aand he's up again.

Writerwannabe83 · 11/09/2014 23:27

Mines up again too.... Sad

Writerwannabe83 · 11/09/2014 23:50

And again....

cookielove · 12/09/2014 01:27

I am up. I got 2hrs 8-10pm. Have yet to ho back off!

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 01:29

Oh god ladies I'm sorry :-(

Been feeding since 1.10am, praying he stays asleep and we don't have a repeat of last nights 1.5hr cot gymnastics/grunting session!

OP posts:
Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 02:15

And he's up for the fourth time...

How is it that last night he went 8 hours straight but tonight he's already woken up four times in 6 hours Confused

I'm too tired for this. We are meant to be going to visit his prospective childminder at 10am but I think I'm going to have to cancel - there's no way I'm going to feel up to it if things continue like this throughout the night.

I've just given him some Nurofen in case his teeth are hurting him again and now I'm trying to feed him back to sleep...

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 02:18

I hope you have managed to get back to sleep cookie Thanks

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 02:38

He's back asleep.......for now anyway Hmm

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 02:48

Spoke too soon - he's awake again...

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 05:22

These babies make no sense!

Just feeding again

Morning all.

So last night was my first evening out since he was born! Went to a birthday meal with friends while my parents babysat. He went down for bed at 7, I got picked up at 7:30 and home at midnight.

He woke at 3:30 and 5:30 and woke for the day at 6:30 so I haven't had much sleep but it was so nice being out!!

Yesterday was our first day dropping the afternoon nap. The HV said to try dropping the afternoon nap and doing early bedtime in an attempt to lengthen his naps. So now we are prepared for bedtime anytime from 6pm but no 3rd sleep.

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 08:26

I can't believe you have enough confidence on your baby sleeping through missmugoo that you can go out for 5 whole hours at night!!! I'm gobsmacked and jealous!!

I wouldn't even be able to pop out for 15 minutes because who knows when DS would next wake up...

I bought him into bed with me at 3am and we got 5 hours sleep so I'm not feeling too bad this morning.

cookielove · 12/09/2014 08:35

ds went to sleep at 3.30 am in moses basket up at 7.30 I am shattered he has refused boob this am so pumping and he had bottle

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 10:05

Hope he's back on the boob ASAP cookie!

Went to SW this morning. Lost another 1.5lb so 21lbs in total Grin

Well I got a better night's sleep last night but DS was still wanting to comfort suck very frequently. As I was so tired I must've been on autopilot as I fell back asleep fairly quickly. I don't know what's brought this on. A while ago he was only getting up once or twice in the night and now it's like I've got a newborn again!

Well done on the SW results Cannot. A former colleague of mine who was probably around a size 24 is now a 14 thanks to SW!

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 13:48

Glad you had a better night.

Yes SW is great, I eat so much!

OP posts:
Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 13:53

What is SW??

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 14:13

Slimming world writer! it's bf friendly too which I love Grin

mrsmugoo · 12/09/2014 14:52

He is reliably sleeping until at least 2am now. If he wakes between about 8-1am he will self settle. It's been a long road getting here!!

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2014 15:08

I'm going to send my DS to live with you for a while so you can sleep train him Grin

Naps have been dire again - he's been awake for 6 hours and only slept for 30 minutes in that time Confused

notadoctor · 12/09/2014 15:12

We had a rough night - poor DS has had a cough for a few days and last night it seemed to be worse... I'm quite over cautious/ paranoid with cough's as a friend of DDs was hospitalised with croup so took him to the out of hours doctors. They were lovely and he's fine but the cough is making him want to comfort suck ALL THE TIME! Luckily DD was in nursery today (she still does 2days so that DS gets a bit of undivided attention) so we've had a lovely snuggly day - only just leaving the house now!

Excellent work on SW - my MIL lost loads on it and won some kind of regional prize. It's probably time I gave it a try!

AuntieMaggie · 12/09/2014 17:57

Unfortunately the only sw class near me has a bitch of a consultant who expects people to pretty much run the session for her and do all the work... (um no you get paid to do that)

We had an ok night last night but ds has been sleepy all day so who knows what tonight holds!

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 18:14

Auntie that sounds like a crap consultant!!

Cannotbelieveit · 12/09/2014 19:25

Last feed now. Another night and another hope of sleeping thru again!
