Here's a fresh thread!

Let's start by introducing us/babies again Grin

Well done Mrs!!

Sammy yes I have the app! Scarily correct!

cannot and mrsmugoo congratulations - how old were your babies when you started trying to lose weight?

mrsmugoo I meant the change in sleep is about their development rather than the sleep itself (I know what I mean!)

Thanks Sammy will look at the app.

I left ds for the first time today with friend whilst I went to an appointment - that was bloody hard! I've only been apart from him when he's been with dp for the odd hour but it's so different leaving him with someone else. He had a great time though apparently!

Sammyviv · 26/09/2014 16:50

Help or advise ladies
He's being a pickle today, he's on my breast won't stop wiggling!!!! He's sucking like there's no tomorrow and then he just puked and went straight back on the boob. Finding him quite trying today
Is this a growth spurt?

Writerwannabe83 · 26/09/2014 19:47

Well done on all the weight loss that is occurring!!!!! Grin

Sammy - it probably is a growth spurt and all you can do is follow his lead Grin

DS has been crap with his naps again today. He's had a 45 minute one and a 20 minute one. I'm just feeding him now and he's semi fallen asleep on me - I don't know whether to leave him there or what?!

Whilst he's feeding I'm hunting online for childminders in my area for when I return to work. I went to visit one today that I planned to use but something just didn't feel right. I left the house and something in my gut was saying she wasn't the childminder for me and so now I'm back at square one.

We're visiting nurseries next week - I'm desperate to get back to work! I never thought I'd feel like this but the life of a SAHM is definitely not for me.

I love the bones of DS but have decided he's going to start nursery two days a week ASAP, hopefully sometime in November.

He did well today - my parents looked after him while I went to the hairdressers and he had a decent solid lunch and water and went 4 hours without a BF without a meltdown.

mrsmugoo · 26/09/2014 20:07

AuntieMaggie - I only really stated to think about losing the weight about 3-4 weeks ago (DS is 6.5 months). Really wasn't arsed about it before.

Happily are entire packets of biscuits and sharing packets of maltesers and revels every day before then!

Writerwannabe83 · 26/09/2014 20:16

SAHM is not for me either Grin

Well DS is asleep in his cot which is more than I've managed over the previous four nights so at least that's a positive. How long he'll stay asleep is another matter....

Cariad007 · 26/09/2014 20:20

God I'm going to have to be really careful with my diet once I stop breastfeeding. At the moment I can scoff as much as I want and DS ensures that it's burned off ASAP. My office is cake central so when I'm back at work I shall have to have an iron will and resist the sweet treats!

Cannotbelieveit · 26/09/2014 21:39

I started at slimming world when DS was 7-8 weeks old if I remember rightly? I do have 2 babies worth of weight to get rid of tho Wink

DS has been asleep since 7.25 Grin let's see what tonight brings!

DS has been put to bed three times and has woken three times. Only thing that settles him is boob but I don't have much as he's sucked me dry! It's going to be a loooong night...

Writerwannabe83 · 26/09/2014 22:16

There's nothing worse than feeling sucked dry - you have my sympathy!!

For sone reason whenever I post on this thread my message appears twice about 75% of the time?! It doesn't happen when I reply to other threads though. Very strange.

Cannotbelieveit · 26/09/2014 22:23

It does annoy me that you can't edit/delete on MN Shock

Cariad007 · 26/09/2014 23:19

DS has just finished feeding after his fourth wake up and is pressed against me tightly. I need to brush my teeth and pee but I will wait a few minutes until he's in deeper sleep. God knows how many more times he'll wake up in the night. Hopefully it's just a blip - he's been a bit sniffly since yesterday so maybe that's why. And DP is looking like a duck that is dying as he wasn't feeling v well tonight. He seems to catch so many bugs, I wish he was more resilient!

Writerwannabe83 · 26/09/2014 23:23

There's nothing worse than needing to pee but are pinned down by a baby.

DS is now back asleep which has surprised me and I've put him back in his cot. Estimated next wake up time is 02.00am. Watch this space.

Sammyviv · 27/09/2014 00:38

Writer so I'm constantly told you go with your gut when choosing a child minder so you were perfectly right to walk away if something didn't feel right.

I'm on my first feed of the night! I really hope I have a better night. A friend suggested maybe I'm nog burping him enough so instead of behind scared to wake him I am burping as best I can

Cannotbelieveit · 27/09/2014 01:52

Well he went 6hrs20 so guess I can't complain! I just need to start going to bed earlier myself!

He's just feeding now.

Ordered a Tula carrier for him yesterday (Friday) which should arrive today. Does anyone else carry?

OP posts:
mrsmugoo · 27/09/2014 02:13

I'm awake but am lying listening to DS wriggle around his cot - 2am is too early for feeding. He'll only be up in 3 hours needing to be fed back to sleep then.
I'm hoping he'll self settle - he's not crying. Yet.

squizita · 27/09/2014 02:38

Haven't got to bed yet.
DD has cluster fed since 8 pm. In between she refuses to go in her basket (despite napping in it and happily sleeping there the last 4 nights) - she will be fast asleep then scream and thrash violently about 5 seconds after being put in it. Also if we try to swaddle her or sometimes if I am picking her up to feed her even though she is rooting at the same time. Sad

Writerwannabe83 · 27/09/2014 02:56

I guessed he'd be up at 2am and he woke at 02.45am Hmm

I'm feeding him now and he looks WIDE awake!!!

Writerwannabe83 · 27/09/2014 03:54

An hour has passed and he's still awake... Confused
