Here's a fresh thread!

Let's start by introducing us/babies again Grin

Writer - it's not the taste, he just clamps his mouth shut and that's that! Even things I know he likes like avocado and banana, sweet potato etc... He will take a few sucks/bites on some bread and then loses interest.

He's currently whining, clawing at my top and trying to latch onto my elbow after less than 2 hours since his last BF.

Cannotbelieveit · 16/09/2014 11:22

Welcome curly! My 19 week old had been sleeping thru from early on and at 4 months exactly started waking twice a night to feed. Am patiently waiting for it to get better Shock

Well they say not to offer solids to a hungry baby so perhaps you should BF and then try feeding again in 30 minutes or so?

I'm starting the weaning process next week and I don't have a clue where to start Confused

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2014 11:26

Happy birthday Cannot Grin Cake

How did your make-up trial go the other morning??

Cariad007 · 16/09/2014 11:28

Welcome curly. My DS is 7 months on Friday and just started sleeping through (as in 9/10pm-5am) 3 night ago! For the first 5 months it was every 2 hours, like clockwork so hang in there! We still more or less cosleep and DP has been banished to the spare room! But as he gets up for work at around 6am it's no bad thing as it means we get a lie in and he can go to work on an unbroken sleep.

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2014 11:29

I can't remember the last time me and DH shared a bed - seriously Hmm

KateTheShrew · 16/09/2014 11:34

Hi all,

Happy Birthday cannot Smile

writer I hope your DS is feeling better. It's really scary when they properly vomit as opposed to just spitting up. My DS did that late one night before we were due to go on an epic car journey. It flew right across the room and it freaked me out so much I ended up calling the out of hours GP Blush It turned out to be just a one off but I'm glad I checked (DH thought it was a massive over reaction).

Well we survived our weekend away in a tiny travelodge room, and while DS's sleep wasn't perfect it wasn't any worse than at home, and because we had the pram in the room with us it meant that DH could take over and rock him fairly easily giving me a break.

We had what might have been a tiny breakthrough last night. He went down at 7.30ish but was awake crying at 8.30, 9.15 (when I fed him again) and 10.15. "Here we go again", I thought. but at 10.30 as DH and I were going to bed I just laid him down between us on our bed (in his grobag on top of the duvet) and he got very calm and drifted off. I moved him to his cot at 11, and he stirred slightly and opened his eyes but went back to sleep again and slept until 4.45!! That's a brilliant stretch for him these days. I think it might be because he dropped off to sleep without bf and so was able to settle himself again in the night? Whatever it was I'm going to try to replicate it tonight probably won't work twice though

Cannotbelieveit · 16/09/2014 12:33

Hello all :)

writer sorry to hear your lo is unwell, hope he gets better soon!

cannot yay for the make up, its good to hear you are suplimenting your income with the make up. I am planning to do this with babysitting.

Awwww ds is so cute, he is doing better going into the moses basket which means I am getting more sleep but his feeding has gone haywire today so we shall see what affect that has tonight!

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2014 17:16

DS is worrying me a little - he just won't feed. I keep offering the breast, he will reluctantly suck for about 30 seconds and then just pull off. I was thinking it was because of his teeth but I don't really want to give Nurofen because he has a poorly stomach. He's still playing and smiling but I just wish he'd have a decent feed.

cookielove · 16/09/2014 17:19

writer all you can do is offer it to him, hopefully it will pass through his system soon!

bumpiesonamission · 16/09/2014 17:39

Hi

I have been lurking usually at 3am sorry. Sleep has been so awful it doesn't bare writing about!

We now have 8 teeth and our first ever cold!

writer Z is like that today. I have been offering but he doesn't have much. I even took an ebf bottle out with us today. He had 5/6 oz. it hasn't fed from me since last night Sad Sad

I'm panicking it's because we've introduced a ff at night Sad Sad

Hello everyone else, new and old!

Writerwannabe83 · 16/09/2014 19:18

On the way to A&E with DS Sad

bumpiesonamission · 16/09/2014 19:27

Writer, poor you and poor DS. Thinking of you and hoping it's all okay

Cariad007 · 16/09/2014 20:57

Oh dear :( I'm sure it'll all be fine but best to get it checked out.

AuntieMaggie · 16/09/2014 21:29

Writer hope he's ok.

Happy birthday cannot.

I'm going to do some serious damage to my neighbours if they don't stfu! Argh. We've had nice hardworking older men renting there since we moved in but now a younger bloke has moved in and keeps pissing about with loud music and it's doing my head in! The room isn't even adjacent to ours - there's a big hallway in between!

Sammyviv · 16/09/2014 22:28

Writer - best to get it checked out sending you lots of love let us know when you can xx
Cannot - happy birthday
Curly - welcome

I have a new addition to help with sleep tonight it's a slumber bear, it plays womb noises and heart beats so let's see if it helps at all .
Xx

Sammyviv · 16/09/2014 23:26

Right on que I go to put DS down and he's bright as a button Shock

cookielove · 17/09/2014 00:02

cookielove · 17/09/2014 01:38
