I think to start the new thread off we should reintroduce ourselves and our babies for the sake of our own memories and also for any newbies who may join Smile

I have a 10 week old DS who is EBF. Has been sleeping through the night for the last week and I'm just waiting patiently for things to go downhill as I'm sure they will Smile

Just got DS down in his bednest after he clusterfed and snoozed on my lap all evening... I'm sure I'll hear a wail in 5 minutes or so though. The blackout curtains have made a real difference in our room, so I'm hoping that might help him sleep a bit better in the early morning. We shall see Hmm

I'm absolutely knackered after lying awake between the 2am and 4.30am feeds last night, so will go up to bed pretty soon myself, just stealing half an hour to have a cup of tea with DH and wind down first. Am very, very glad it's the weekend Grin

Wishing everyone a peaceful night and lots of Zzzzzzzzz

In bed with DS continuing the evening cluster feed and hoping he nods off soon!

Evening Everyone!

Just doing what I hope is the last feed for the night, we shall see! Last night just under 6 hours stretch so hoping DS can do his 8 hours I know he's capable of, I really need it! DH has gone to the pub with his mates and brother so have that as leverage over the weekend!!! Wink

New pushchair came today (previously had the oyster max and it was crap for the boys), I've set it all up and Looking forward to using it!

DS has been asleep since 21.20pm which is actually quite early for him. As a result I'm guessing he will wake up earlier too but never mind!!

Does anyone else ever feel like they live separate lives to their DH/DP now baby is on the scene?

Also, how do you stop them feeling hurt, upset or rejected when the baby only settles for you?

DS grizzled and cried but has finally fallen asleep on DP's shoulder. I should go to sleep but have a book I'm longing to get stuck into. The plan is to feed DS again when he gets up and then put him in the crib. She says optimistically!

Writer deffo Separate lives at the moment! We had our evenings back since last summer when ds1 was going to bed 7-8pm and only went out together a few times, should have made the most of it but I was pregnant with ds2 by then!

Anyway I'm in bed on the iPad as ds2 is now in his cot. Let's see how long he goes and I hope DH isn't noisy when he comes in from the pub!

Argh, after an evening of cluster feeding I'd finally managed to feed dd to sleep properly, then made mistake of putting her in crib. Wide awake now and grizzly. My nips can't take another session! Trying the approach of leaving her but it's escalating..

cannot we've got the oyster max. What didn't you like about it? It's a pain to get up curbs but so far I'm happy with it for my two :)

Back to resettling. Sigh.

I love my black out blinds! Honestly they make such a difference and DD sleeps a lot better because of them . We've got the Gro Blind which attached to the window via sucker pads. We've got 2 big windows in our room, the sun rises in one and sets in the other so the blinds are a life saver Grin

Misty terrible with kerbs as you said and we get the trust a lot a nightmare to get on and off them! Plus didn't like how cramped the both boys would be when using the 2 seats (was using it with carrycot and upper seat or lower seat and car seat) shame really As I loved my original oysterSad

Report
Misty9 · 06/06/2014 22:56

Did you sell it on? I'm hoping the resale value will be decent. I imagine we'll only get a few more weeks use out of the carrycot so I hope the two seat configuration is okay. What did you go for instead?

I'm rather pleased with myself this evening - fed DD at 6:30ish, handed her over to DH to settle and went out for a few hours! Very brave (or possibly foolish as we've never tried her with a bottle and didn't have any milk anyway) but it was nice to escape sans baby for a bit. She didn't wake but I was only 15 mins away in an emergency anyway.

Somebody down the road seems to r having the mother of all parties. Not sure whet exactly but the music is thumping and we've had to shut the windows. Bloody annoying when it's roasting outside. I'm such a killjoy!

Well I'm off to bed. I'm predicting DS will be awake before 3am so I will see you all later. I hope your babies behave themselves! Smile

Up for first feed here - we both slept just shy of 4 hours which was badly needed!

Fingers crossed for more good sleep!

No optimism here.... Asleep at half nine which is great. Up at half eleven....really DS.....REALLY?? Is 2 stinking hours the best you can do??

He's tucking in like he's never seen a boob before. It's not like I don't offer him feeds ALL...day...long. But noooooo, he's at an age now where it's oh look, a cushion, oh look a zip, oh look my own hand, oh listen I can hear a voice etc etc etc.

I'm fed up of being nothing but a glorified udder/dummy, it's really grim.

I know what you mean sing , I well and truly feel like a dummy tonight. So, after an hour of screaming, a huge poo, vomit and much gnawing of my nips, she's finally fed to sleep. In bed next to me. No way am I transferring this time!

Night night all.

Had nearly 4 hours out of DS so far, carry on boy!!!

4hours 15, wtf baby? I'm broken! He better feed then sleep til at least 7 now!!

Report
mrsmugoo · 07/06/2014 03:27

Have just done 2nd feed here, he lasted 1hr 40. Strangely I'm quite happy with this, but for a 12 week old it's pretty abysmal.

By my reckoning if I get him back down in 15 mins he'll be back up around 5.

When will this baby start staying asleep longer??

Report
Writerwannabe83 · 07/06/2014 03:55

Morning all fellow Udders Smile

6.5 hours this end which is a litte better than I thought.

He's now trying to feed whilst trying to trump at the same time - it's not going very well and he looks quite overwhelmed Grin

Fed hourly all night here. Confused But DD2 is only 8 days old. She'd better have gained weight when she's weighed later, or I may tantrum on the floor!!

Up for third feed here. Tricky time as I'm not sure he'll go back down now.

Here's hoping!
