Not till I weaned DS off the breast at 11 months. It came back pretty much as soon as he stopped his nighttime feeds.

IAmJacksRagingBileDuct · 09/04/2013 07:59

About 8 months ish after dd1 as I went back to work and had to stop bf during the day.

Dd2 is coming up to 7 months now and still no AF, I'm expecting the same as before.

nethunsreject · 09/04/2013 08:01

It varies wildly from one woman to another, so don't worry! But don't assume you're not fertile either ;-)

TheDegglyDonkey · 09/04/2013 08:03

Still waiting , 26 months and counting.......

JimbosJetSet · 09/04/2013 08:05

14 months for me.

Cravingdairy · 09/04/2013 08:09

14 months.

poocatcherchampion · 09/04/2013 08:11

9 months - she was eating well. dc2 is due when dc1 is 18 months...

SalagadooLamagicaboo · 09/04/2013 08:11

18 months and still waiting

nethunsreject · 09/04/2013 08:13

Ooh sorry, in my hurry to write that rather patronising post I forgot to answer the question! Sorry, the post I wrote sounds awful!!!

Yeah, for me, first time was 6 weeks, second time two years.

rustybusty · 09/04/2013 08:15

12 months after, but I was breastfeeding a lot.

OrangeFootedScrubfowl · 09/04/2013 08:17

Couple of years.

Dorisday13 · 09/04/2013 08:22

Wow longer than I was expecting!!

14m and 16m respectively.

It is weird to be waiting, but unless you want to ttc again it should be a welcome break! Grin

6 months with dd1

13 months and still waiting with dd2 (not complaining)

leedy · 09/04/2013 09:13

8 monthsish with DS1, still feeding but he'd ramped his solids intake up and wasn't taking as much/dropping feeds.

5 months in with DS2, still no sign, mercifully!

FaceCake · 09/04/2013 09:16

You lucky lot. 3 months here, and they came back with a vengeance even though I was still feeding.

ChasingStaplers · 09/04/2013 09:20

I haven't had a period since the last one before I got pregnant with DC1 nearly 5 years ago as I've either been pregnant or breastfeeding since. (DC3 is 3 months old)

BedHanger · 09/04/2013 09:25

15 months with DS1. Hoping for at least that long this time! Bliss.

Speckledy · 09/04/2013 09:47

14 months. A couple of weeks after he'd started to regularly go for 8 or 9 hours between his bedtime feed and a night feed.

He's just turned 2 and still breastfeeding morning and evening and my cycle is shorter and isn't as regular as it was before though no idea if that's my age, breastfeeding or just post-pregnancy changes.

Heavenlywineandroses · 09/04/2013 09:48

6 months here too and still waiting.

Sorry to hijack and perhaps I'll start a new thread but obviously you can get pregnant while bf but I heard that you can't get pregnant until you've had a period again. Anyone know if that's true?

khaleesidragon · 09/04/2013 09:51

When DS was around 9 months. When he started to eat more solids.

Speckledy · 09/04/2013 09:59

heavenly, you can't get pregnant until you ovulate again and the first time you ovulate will be 10-14 days before your first period so you can get pregnant without bleeding first.

Babieseverywhere · 09/04/2013 10:02

DC1 16 months
DC2 16 months
DC3 16 months
DC4 6 months (last baby )

Heavenlywineandroses You can't get pregnant until your cycles return, but it is possible to get pregnant within the first cycle before your first period. If becoming pregnant again would be an issue, assume you are fertile and plan accordingly. HTH

mum2jakie · 09/04/2013 10:06

About nine-ten months with all three of mine.
