When did you get your period back?? Just curious really, nearly 6months and no sigh...Tia x

Were you able to predict it based on how much your babies were feeding from you?

In both cases, Doris, it coincided with longer (8h+) stretches without night feeds.

PurpleBlossom · 09/04/2013 12:20

DD is nearly 6 months and still no sign here as yet!

Sorry to sound dense but, is it possible to conceive before your period has started again? I'm guessing yes, but not sure. Blush

HorryIsUpduffed · 09/04/2013 13:13

Yes, PurpleBlossom, because you will likely ovulate around two weeks before your first period.

That said, a lot of bf mothers find their cycles are often anovulatory at first.

BertieBotts · 09/04/2013 13:13

18 months here.

BertieBotts · 09/04/2013 13:14

Purple yes definitely, my friend did :)

BuntyCollocks · 09/04/2013 13:26

13 months but I had to stop feeding. I am hoping the same holds for this baby.

Goodkingwalkingslass · 09/04/2013 14:19

6 months and Ds was ebf and feeding loads at night

munchkinmaster · 09/04/2013 14:21

6 months, starte weaning at 5.

marzipananimal · 09/04/2013 14:54

about 11 months - he was still feeding plenty (incl at night) but eating lots of solids too

prettybird · 09/04/2013 14:57

Less than 6 months - but I suspect that was because he was sleeping through from so early (2 weeks! Shock)

happyfrogger · 09/04/2013 15:06

7 months. Started with a vengeance, nothing gradual here. We were breastfeeding only, about 4/5 a day I think (plus some solids from just before 6 months).

Only had 2 periods and pregnant again, hooray! Grin (and still feeding no probs 4 months in happily)

ooievaar · 09/04/2013 21:11

9 months and DD still feeds loads night and day...

ooievaar · 09/04/2013 21:13

alternative answer: precisely 2 days after I'd booked an overdue smear test! (practice nurse had told me to wait until my periods came back but after 2 reminder letters I thought I'd just go anyway). Sod's law!

k2togm1 · 09/04/2013 21:18

2 years. Bliss.

fluffacloud · 09/04/2013 21:21

9 bloody weeks!!

DD2 was EBF and was/still is feeding every 2-3 hours at night.

Mine are much worse now than they were pre DD2 (11 mo). I think it's my wombs last hurrah before the menopause Grin

ShowOfHands · 09/04/2013 21:21

DC1 fed round the clock, at least 2 hourly, through the night etc and periods were back at 12 weeks.

DC2 slept through from tiny, big gaps between feeds, periods back at 12 months.

Average is 14 months iirc.

ballroompink · 09/04/2013 21:30

When DS was exactly 6mo!
