I've been pregnant and or bf for 5 years.

I'm an extended BF.

I know what I am doing.

Dc4 was born Sat a whopping 9 pounds.

And is feeding.

And feeding.

And feeding.

And feeding.

Has been on me solidly since before midnight.

Its been like this for 3 nights now.

I'm exhausted.

It feels like my nipples are being stroked by razors.

Aw thanks for asking, I didnt need to go, we seemed to really turn a corner yesterday, I am sure its the baby mooning that did it.

I literally didn't leave my room, stayed in bed and fed and fed and fed and fed.

Then last night, he woke every 1.5 hours for a feed and went back to sleep, went to sleep at 7.30 and woke at 11.00 - I slept at same time.

OK 1.5 hour waking is tiring, but expected in a NB, and compared to 5/6 hours at a stretch was marvellous, I am tired now and about to head off to bed with him, having laid out with DD so she went off as she is over tired and over excited herself.

Midwife came and he has put on 5 grams, which is miniscule, but she said in right direction, if he has lost she wanted to hospitalise him (rolls eyes - he is still 8 3 he was just born big - I am little so its hardly surprising).

Funny isn't it - this is my 4th and I never expected to worry - but they like to let you know they have their own uniqueness.

Oh don't they just. So glad you've turned a corner. If he is feeding frequently (which you know is normal Xmas Smile) how about trying some beast compressions?

Thats great news. Remember the clinic details incase your nips don't improve, but it sounds like your going the right way.
Remember the chocolate (is there a reason I'm not back to pre pregnancy weight??)

Glad he has found a more relaxed pattern, enjoy your snuggles and catching up on sleep.
