Still not great nights from DS here. He was having a scream fest and cluster feeding all afternoon evening, and missed his evening nap, so he went to bed at 11, then up at 1:30 and 4:30
He has learnt how to shriek as well, it is not fun.
Hello sarita!
so nice to "see" you back and hear about miss periwinkle.
Squish sorry you are feeling down
it is so tough when it all seems so relentless, and all you want is some bloody sleep! I had a bit of a weepy sesh myself this afternoon, as I couldn't put DS down for ages, the screaming was becoming intolerable and of course it was pissing it down outside which never does anything for one's mood. When DH rang to say he was coming home, I cried on the phone to him and said he needed to come take this baby off me - he uncharacteristically arrived home with a gorgeous bunch of flowers!
I never get flowers from DH!
High point yesterday was DS' check up at the prem clinic - the Dr was really pleased with his progress and said there don't appear to be any after effects of his prematurity. DS was very smiley and jolly and charmed the dr and physiotherapist suck up. Sadly the Dr didn't note any of the measurements he took in DS' red book, which is a shame as I'd like to know how long he is - but he is now 14lb 6oz at 24 weeks, 16 weeks corrected.
Today is going to be a long day - I'm going to the "Stitching and knitting show" at Ally Pally with a friend, but this means driving from South London to Paddington to pick her up, then on to Ally Pally, then afterwards to another friend's in High Barnet, which is about as far away from me as you can get and still be in London
fingers crossed DS doesn't decide to scream the whole time...
Have a good Friday everyone
