I read in the article he wrote a 180 page rambling load of bollocks, live streamed his mass murder and intends to plead ... not guilty.

Truly awful. The news reports published the names of those murdered by this POS whose name I refuse to say. And the security guard so bravely tried to defend innocent people from pure hate, and was murdered in his turn - father of three, Aaron Salter Jr. - a hero.

Tragically we are all so used to shootings in America - horrific of course that they are.

It was a main story on BBC news website when I looked this morning

It was the lead story on the radio 4 news this morning.

Not the main headline in our city’s local newspaper, but on the front page. Along with the five other shootings that took place on Friday. There were 10 others earlier in the week ( not all fatal).

Why is it always murder and never terrorism?

I think it's so frequent in the US that we are just desensitised to it. Tragic though it is. There is a feeling of 'oh not another one'

top on CNN, Fox, NYTimes, LATimes, DrudgeReport, WashingtonPost, NYPost, USAToday.

All of the conservative and liberal media is covering it as the top story.

What point are you trying to make here?

It was the only thing I saw on the news last night.

@Toddlerteaplease That’s exactly what’s happened, unfortunately, where I live, people are shot almost daily ( luckily not always fatally) that it takes something really appalling to make headlines. Yet when I talk to sone people about gun control and the way it works in other countries ( I’m British living in the US), they can’t comprehend it. They think they’ll be too vulnerable. Some understand, but many don’t.

First thing I saw on the news when I got up this morning was this news.

It came up as the first article on upday news on my phone. Awful. Can't believe he live streamed it too 😔
