Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I thought it was 27 or 28
First would be 1-13
Second 14-26
Third 27-40
but then the third is 2 weeks longer so I'm not sure!

No-one has asked to weigh me other than for the blood tests at 12 weeks. I weigh myself for interest rather than doing anything about it if it was too much. Although I have lost weight so far in both pregnancies so it's not really depressing at all!

If you start a new thread comixminx will you post it here? I've never been on a thread for so long, don't want to loose you all!

Well i curbed the chocolate bella. Today when i bought a 200g bar of chocolate from the supermarket i left the last two rows!!!! Progress.

bellabelly · 14/06/2010 20:18

sassy - Blimey girl, admire your iron will!

I totally agree with everyone that there is NO point stressing about weight gain during pregnancy - personally I think any attempt to "diet" or limit weight gain is ridiculous unless, obviously, you have medical reasons for doing so. I like to weigh myself in the spirit of curiosity and also slight anxiety because I've noticed that I'm not gaining much which worried me - it is usually thought of as good to gain weight early with twins or more because of teh higher risk of prematurity.Am far less worried since my scan last week confirmed all well with their growth .

sassy34264 · 14/06/2010 21:18

HaHaHa. That made me laugh. I've bought a 200g bar of chocolate (a normal bar is less than 50g) and you think i have iron will cos i left the last 2 rows!!!! That translates to eating 3 bars of a normal size choc bar instead of 4......but yeah my will is iron. lol.

Don't worry, i may moan but there is no chance of me dieting. I never diet. I have set myself the goal of being back with my triathlon club in the new year- i intend to sweat it off!!!!

MammyG · 14/06/2010 22:25

I had lost a lot of weight before getting pregnant and was a bit wary of gaining too much but at the same time didnt do anything about it. Spent the weekend doubled over with gallbladder pains and finding food impossible - even liquids a chore. Have lost a couple of pounds (doctor re assured me this wont affect the baby) This is going ot be an ongoing problem and Im in for an uncomfortable ride by the sounds of it. Now I dont care what the scales says (for the first time in years!) just want to get whatever food I can into me and have a healthy little girl.
In fact have to say really struggling with being so ill. I have had no chance to enjoy this pregnancy its just something I have had to literally suffer thru. I really want this baby but am worried I am going to have a right stressed little bundle because I have been so stressed and miserable. Really upset me this weekend. As this is my last pregnancy had thought I would enjoy it and lap it all up.

bellabelly · 14/06/2010 23:24

Oh MammyG, sorry you've been feeling blue about it all. My previous pregnancy (which was also my first, and much longed-for) was pretty shit because of health issues, mainly with my back. Totally understand about just wanting to really enjoy it and not being able to. But please don't worry about having a "stressed little bundle" because of how stressed out you've been feeling - am sure your baby will be blissfully unaware of everything you are going through.

lol, sassy, wasn't being entirely serious ...

Anone else feeling the babies turning all the time? Mine are doing it loads and it's really starting to hurt! On the plus side, have finally started being able to see kicks and punches, not just feel them - quite like to lie in the both and watch them!

bellabelly · 14/06/2010 23:25

bath, not both - duh!

LadyRabbit · 14/06/2010 23:29

sassy34264 I heard that chocolate is a really good source of iron. Honest. At least that's what I tell myself every time I wolf down a chocolate orange..mmmmmm

MammyG sorry to hear you're feeling so rough. Hope you're getting support around you.

On a lighter note, I went to my local DIY store today and had a whole new experience. The bloke in the shop was ever so helpful but spent the entire time talking to my chest. I asked for paint, he told my boobs he was sorry but they were out of stock of the one I wanted. If my chest ever returns to its former A cup glory I shall go in and ask for the same thing and see what happens. I'm not sure whether to be mortified or just enjoy it for as long as they last.

LR!

bananastew · 15/06/2010 08:50

I think that if we have to go through the discomfort, awkwardness and inconvenience of pregnancy, the pain of labour & birth then the pleasure of breast feeding & it being assumed that as the mother it is our job to do majority of care for the little darling then the least we deserve is a bar or 10 of chocolate & if anyone dares tell me otherwise then they'll get the sharp end of my hormonal pregnant tongue!!!!! (I am however loving thins pregnancy, love being a mummy & wouldn't change things for the world!)

I had an appointment with the MW yesterday and asked if you can get too much movement! I've been feeling sick the last few days because this baby is just conatantly turning. It never seems to sleep. My stomach feels like I'm on a rollercoaster! She said it was a really good sign because an active baby is getting ots of oxygen. If it doesn't move then you need to wonder why!

Monstermuncher · 15/06/2010 10:06

Hi bananastew, I'm the same, this little one never stops. I'm feeling so much more movement than with DD but its lovely though. Some people say they can see feet and hands etc, sadly my bump is far too well padded for me to see anything like that, mostly because of my chocolate addition.
Feeling flipping enormous this week, its not just chocolate and kung fu baby, I'm still eating anything in sight. I thought my stomach was supposed to shrink so I couldn't eat big meals?

HI

MammyG sorry to hear how things are turning out for you in this pregnancy.

Haven´´t increased much chocolate during prgnancy but have a serious addiction to digestive biscuits!! The plain ones at that. I dont get cravings, possibly because I´´ve always got at least 2 packets in the cupboard at a time. . Had the same with DS1.

It been a while since dreams were mentioned, I had at least my 3rd/4th dream this pregnancy in which I died last night. Ther´´re always so vivid, but not scary.

ah well, thats my rest over, DS1 just walked in after his afternoon nap.

sassy34264 · 15/06/2010 19:57

mammyg I'm not sure if how stressed you are affects the baby or not. But in my experience it didn't.
I was in a very bad relationship when i was pregnant with my dd. I was a nervous wreck and so unhappy and my dd is the most laid back child you can imagine. She's quite happy to sit in her pj's all day long and go out without brushing her hair. I think her favourite saying when she was younger was 'it doesn't matter'!
Hoping for the best for you.

Debs75 · 15/06/2010 23:25

I am getting the whole turn overs now. You can see my bump moving from left to right. Getting a lot of pushing asround in the bottom left hand side and I definitely have a lop-sided bump.

Had my growth scan, all OK and diabetes clinic today. baby is growing just fine and they are happy with the diabetes so I have next Tuesday off, no Clinic.
Sending in my HIP form tomorrow so should have it in a couple of weeks.

Debs75 - that is really good news about the diabetes

My midwife is coming tomorrow to do checks and also to finally give me my matb1 form for work. Will pester her for HIP form too, want to send it off asap but not sure if I'm too early still? (am 25+4 I think)

comixminx · 16/06/2010 07:52

No Bellabelly, you get the HIP grant any time after 25 weeks on the dot so you are in good time to ask for that!
